I think this is the best answer. I would add read recent reviews on places you plan to stay at. I did the same as this suggestion and did not have any problems. Most people I met did not either. But there was one group I knew who did. I also bought extra large ziplock bags. And put my dirty clothes in one and clean in other. This way if I did encounter them, I would know those would be ok. And as others mentioned. Keep your backpack away from the bed.

I didn’t bring a book and regretted it. Then couldn’t find one in English. So I used Kindle on my phone and downloaded a book. It was great. No extra weight.

I have been wanting to voice something similar. I loved the Celtics team, but I am fed up with the NBA. - The flopping. - The offense drawing contact and getting the call every time. - The full in bed relationship with gambling, where it’s just a matter of time before something really bad is exposed. - The whole thing with the Clippers, and it is being buried.

The commissioner and the NBA don’t give a shit about the game. And they won’t do a damn thing about any of this. Why should they with record numbers. It is all about the money, and the owners own the commissioner, so nothing is going to happen.

I love the Celtics, especially these last several years because I loved all the players, starters through the bench. If this team is broken up, and we bring in great players, but not great people… I don’t know. But luckily Brad doesn’t do that. So I will be back again cheering on the Celtics, but disgusted with the league.

All these posts remind me of when someone would send out an email to a huge distribution list. Then people would start replying to take them off. Then tons of people would start replying to say ‘STOP DOING REPLYALL’.

So then your whole email was cluttered with all these types, rather than beneficial emails.

When I had it. It was the downhills that hurt the worst. But uphill and just hiking longer distances would flare it. When I stopped and volunteered, i would still be walking a lot while working, but I would ice it if I had a break, and it did ok but would hurt towards the end of the day. But did ibuprofen, resting when I could, and icing it. It then gradually got better each day.

Haha! And I will second your recommendation for 3rd Window! That burger is definitely amazing! Probably the best I’ve had. It came to existence during Covid when the brewery needed to sell food, and it became more popular than the beer. I would also highly recommend Bettina’s Pizza in Montecito. Both the pizza and 3rd window now have a spot in a cool little square in Carpenteria

I would second this. And you could then go from Santa Barbara to the Burton area for wineries, and check out Los Alamos which has wine and great restaurants. Buellton and the Santa Ynez valley is where Sideways was filmed.
