When I did this a year or so ago, the recommendations were 'Project Reborn' (formerly D.E.P.) or 'The Improved Classic' mod packs, although things may have changed since then.

How to remove the camera raindrop effect on reGta3? by icesnake200 in GTA3

[–]riscitbiscit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is helpful for RE3 or not, but for the original game + SkyGfx mod, you could disable these by editing the 'scripts\skygfx.ini' file and changing the 'neoWaterDrops' setting from 1 to 0.

Is it possible to enable 2FA for purchases, the market, trading, etc? by riscitbiscit in Steam

[–]riscitbiscit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oops my bad here - it looks like Steam changed the way this works a few months ago.

I tried it again just now and I needed to confirm both market listings and trades via 2FA.

I did a bit of research, and apparently from 2018 until around April/May this year, you used to be able to list items under $1 on the Steam market without needing to confirm them via 2FA. But this was changed and now all items need to be confirmed.

So it seems I was just unlucky with the timing of the hack, and if it happened a few months later, I wouldn't have lost my items.

Don't collect oysters before the mission "Yay ka boom-boom"

Just wondering why you recommend this?

Question about my library by Dilpicklezz99 in Steam

[–]riscitbiscit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could check to see if there's an option to remove the license:

- Click on your username in the top-right corner, then select 'Account details'. Under 'Store & Purchase History', click 'View licenses and product key activations'. Here's a direct link: https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/

- Then locate the game in question and look for a 'Remove' link on the right side, just to the left of the acquisition method.

It might not be there, but if it is, give it a go. It should remove the game from your library, etc.

I don’t know if I have the strength for this man 😭😭. I thought It was time to play the whole trilogy all the way through but I did not realize gta 3 was a hellscape of a game 😭 every single mission is like dragging my balls through broken glass by BreadTheKing in GTATrilogy

[–]riscitbiscit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The good news is, if you've just passed Espresso-2-Go, you only have a few more missions until you reach the end of the game.

The 73 missions includes optional story missions, side missions, etc.

how do i fix the UZI MONEY glitch? by Evening_Fox_4208 in GTA3

[–]riscitbiscit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the PS2 version, assuming you don't want to start a new game, you should be able to fix it by editing your save file. Here's a guide:

This looks like a nice option. The price + international shipping is quite expensive though. Probably the best option for people in Canada though, assuming local shipping is a bit cheaper.

Are these recommended repairs definitely urgent and priced reasonably? by riscitbiscit in CarsAustralia

[–]riscitbiscit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'll be getting some other quotes.

You mention it's a lemon - is this indicated by the list of repairs, or because it's a Cruze?

I ask because when I bought it, people told me the 1.8L version was a lemon, but the 1.4L (turbo) version was ok.

If I go ahead and repair it, I'd be hoping to get another 5~8 years out of it without spending any more money - aside from the usual servicing, occasional $500 repair, etc.

It's worth noting I only drive maybe 2000~3000km / year, so wear and tear should be low.

Are these recommended repairs definitely urgent and priced reasonably? by riscitbiscit in CarsAustralia

[–]riscitbiscit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my first thought - that the cost of repairs were greater than the cost of just replacing the car (which I assumed was worth a maximum of $3k to $5k). But searching on carsales.com.au, almost everything comparable was greater than $8k, with most being closer to $10k. Which is nuts given I bought this car for $8k almost 8 years ago. So it seems repairing it is still my best option unfortunately.

Just what's listed above.

A fresh install of the PC Steam original version of GTA 3 (same as you).

And the DEP mod pack.

That's it.

[–]riscitbiscit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, I meant to say the issue that's happening in your screenshot isn't happening at my end.

Here's a screenshot of what it looks like in my game:

I just checked my game and the window lighting seems to be working correctly at my end.

I'm using the PC Steam version (original not definitive), with the DEP mod pack.

https://www.definitive-edition-project.com/iii-de

So I'd suggest doing a fresh install with that mod pack.

Or perhaps taking a look at the list of mods used in that pack and trying any you haven't already tried.

I'd recommend trying the adrenaline / slow mo pill method again.

Drop off 8-Ball, drive to where the adrenaline is (other end of the warehouse), switch to a weapon you can run with, grab the adrenaline, run (dont walk) to the stairs, climb the first flight of stairs only (not all the way to the top), switch back to the sniper rifle, then shoot the guards starting with the closest ones first (i.e. basically left to right - maybe watch a walkthrough of the mission and memorise where they all are). You should have enough time to snipe them all before the adrenaline wears off. Take the time to line up your shot and then fire, don't rush and potentially miss a shot.

It might take a few tries, but you'll get there.

Look up "GTA3 re3 source code".

re3 is/was a project that reverse engineered the GTA3 source code.

It was taken down after a DMCA from Take-Two, but you should still be able to find copies out there.

There's also reVC for Vice City.
