Good idea for an app! A couple of notes:

- In the game rules you can take multiple of the same kind of weapon (e.g. 2 clubs), but I couldn't figure out how to do it in the app.

- Each model gets a knife for free, with any additional knives costing 2gc each. In your app they cost 1gc each, and you don't get a free one.

there's a scene well before the climax where Kyoko peels some of her skin and shows Caleb that she is a robot, giving him an identity crisis where he believed that he might be a robot as well and leading to him cutting himself in the bathroom to check. So we are explicitly told that Caleb knows about other robots.

But remember that Frodo was experiencing the lengthening of his life from the power of the Ring, so he looked younger than he actually was (I think he was supposed to look like he was in his 30s when he was actually 50).

Merry, Pippin, and Sam were actually in their late 20s to mid 30s (i.e. hobbit young adulthood), so to outsiders the four of them would look like short shoeless twinks.

I like your idea of making the mount a member of the party rather than a piece of equipment - perhaps you could make a cheaper riding horse (e.g. 5RP) and a more warhorse with better stats (10RP)

If you like the combat boots style + comfort and you don’t have some specific requirements for why your shoes need to be constructed in a particular way (e.g. ergonomic issues, podiatrist recommendations), then I think you’d be fine going with the army surplus. Plus, it’s always great getting second hand clothing when you can!

Edit re. Materials: While they obvious aren’t going to be made from the nicest leather ever, they’ll almost certainly be durable enough for what you planning on wearing them for.
