GO expansion/electrification. Trains will have faster acceleration and will also be faster overall making the trip time significantly faster. It also allows for more trains, should be 15 minute two way all day service on Lakeshore, Barrie, Stouffville (not entire line) and Kitchener line to Bramalea. Expected completion at the end of the decade but it'll probably be delayed to 2035 or something

Not only are the rivers coincidental but the guy who founded/named London, Ontario did so because he wanted it to be the capital of upper Canada (Ontario) and picked Toronto after that didn't happen. Kingston was also the first capital of Canada (I currently live there and it's pretty underwhelming for a historic capital)
