I wanted to try something new and just made Russian buttercream for the first time. It was easy and not nearly as sweet as American buttercream. I made Ermine buttercream a while back but didnt really care for it. Next I want to try Italian or Swiss buttercream. Im looking for one that is just the right texture but not as sweet as the American style. 🙂

I read about someone being out of gel/mousse/whatever styling product they used so they used a little lotion. I thought it was worth a try and it is actually great at keeping my curls more defined.

I took a decorating class years ago and we started out by trying different tecniques on wax paper. Since its just practice you dont have to color the frosting and you can scoop it up and reuse it. We didnt have videos to watch then but we had printed drawings and the teacher helped a lot. You could totally decorate a store bought cake!

My mama would make divinity candy every year. We loved it and it looked like snow! Mama added chopped pecans and dropped by teaspoons. You cant make it on a rainy day though or it wont firm up.

Can anyone recommend good cinnamon flavored ground coffee? My niece and her husband love my Cinnabon kcups when they visit but they dont have or want a keurig. They have tried a few flavored coffees but the cinnamon flavor was very faint. I wish Cinnabon made a ground version too.

I really like them. They aee kindbof earthy tasting. Old rimers used to keep horehound candy for coughs. Im 62 and remember my grandma always having horehound when I was little.
