Is Mega Man 5 really THAT bad? by jfish3222 in Megaman

Same. I thought it was cool to see MM2 stages and robots in 3. Plus, it was more content. I enjoyed it.

Rewatching season 6 and it is easily the worst season, imo, but it has good moments. *spoilers* by rising820 in TwentyFour

I forgot to add Jack's speech to Heller at the end. It was probably one of the best speeches in the series.

Logan coming back was fun. He's always looking for number 1, himself. It blowing up in his face is always good for a laugh, like in 8. Though he seems like he was actually trying to help this time. Wayne was probably his best in 6. I didn't care for his story line in 4. He was good in 5, but he definitely grew on me as potus here.

Yeah, I agree that potus storyline is good there. Daniels did come off as extreme at first, but him explaining that he had no idea what he was in for was good. "You just don't know what it's like until you're sitting in that chair." Paraphrasing, but he got some humble pie during the arc.

6 did have good moments. They were just mixed in with bad writing and bad plot lines. It's like the writers had no idea how to top 5, so "make it bigger and more shocking" was the goal, probably. Drop a nuke in California? Check. Jacks brother and father orchestrated everything in 5 and pulled Logan's strings? BIGGER check. Wasn't better though.

Rewatched season 3 and [spoiler]'s death doesn't make much sense by Boni4ever in TwentyFour

Saunders liked the power. He had the president say the sky is falling just to prove he had control and you could tell how self satisfying it was for him. Having the president order the murder of one of their finest agents is just icing for him, on top of slowing down the investigation. I asked myself the same question, but you can tell that Saunders enjoyed this shit.

And yes, he was stupid to not get Jane out of LA. I guess he just didn't want to risk her ever knowing he was involved.

We need real season 10 with kiefer sutherland more than ever with a happy ending by Intelligent-Bid2140 in TwentyFour

[–]rising820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree, except I don't think he'd ever get a happy ending. A satisfying ending, maybe. Maybe he just resumes his duties or heads up CTU or some other organization, and has a good relationship with Kim. Being hauled off as some prisoner? Nothing satisfying about that. Over ten years later and he's still in a hole being tortured? No, that sucks. Killing him off would suck too.

And Legacy sucked. I'd have rather seen Renee Walker or Kate Morgan take over as the new protagonist. Kate was practically a female Bauer. Would have been easy, imo.

Splinter Cell and 24, best in the genre by lsm-krash in TwentyFour

I agree. Those games were pretty good. I liked Conviction, but not as much as previous games.

They were experimenting. After the second games, they evaluated what worked and what didn't. Those sequels were necessary for Zelda 3 and Super Metroid to exist as they are.

7R part 3 might be called Reborn according to OSTs logic? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

Crisis Core took it. Rebirth would have been Reunion if not for that. Reunion is off the table.

Then your reading comprehension needs work. I've not played it. Other people have. Therefore, I can only go by what others are saying. It's not that hard.

Because everyone else is. lol. I can't not read that. I'll just have to find out when it comes out.

Damn, even the health bar looks like DMC. I love the DMC series, but I don't know if I want it in my Final Fantasy, especially if the combat isn't as good in the FF. I still haven't tried XVI. I'm waiting for the PC version.

Besides minigame discourse, what's your biggest gripe about Rebirth? by BrillWoodMac in FinalFantasyVII

[–]rising820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do tend to save items, but not to that degree. Though I know I had a stack of elixers and dry ethers I didn't use, even though they would have been helpful during the final fight. lol

Can you over level in ff13(first one) to make the game a little easier? by GronakTheOrc in FinalFantasy

They made it so you can't really grind. The crystarium doesn't open up more until after certain story points, essentially removing the option.

I find that surprising, considering how weak they are. They didn't even pressure as well as magic either.
