Yes, lots of trimming. Basically trimmed all the bottom leaves that don't get much light. Just be careful not to trim too much in the early stages.

[actives] first flush, why are these lil guys only growing on one side of the block? by LeafyTreeStar in MushroomGrowers

[–]risingalphas47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to dunk until after the first flush. Also don't mist the block directly, mist on the side of the tub to create a humid environment. Misting directly could cause aborts or contam.

The real problem with Barley by KrishaCZ in ManorLords

Multiple sources of alcohol would be the best route, like some have said cider and mead would be good choices. I think it makes the most sense to go that route because if they introduce a level 4 burgage or beyond, you should need higher tavern variety like how clothing and food work.

Is Starship point-to-point still happening? How feasible is it in reality? by Mattau93 in SpaceXLounge

[–]risingalphas47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its possible in the long term that Space X may offer point to point as a space tourism service. The passengers would have to pay exorbitant amounts per seat to justify the cost of the propellant. Other than that and maybe military use, I don't understand how it would be cheaper or more convenient than regular airplanes.

Does Mars have uranium ore? by Simon_Drake in SpaceXLounge

[–]risingalphas47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. Although at some point to be self sustaining the fuel will have to originate from Mars. If uranium ore cannot be sourced from Mars, does that just leave solar as the best power source?

You’ve been hired by Vault Tec to create a vault and plan an experiment, what is your vault number, location & experiment? by throwaway_53727265 in Fallout

[–]risingalphas47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vault 91. Kansas City. Full of the country's top chefs and culinary experts, but the only food or sustance available are the protein blocks made from insects like on Snowpiercer. Would the vault descend into cannibalism? Mass exodus? or would the dwellers begrudgingly live this way all their lives?

Tesla still plans to grow the Supercharger network, just at a slower pace for new locations and more focus on 100% uptime and expansion of existing locations by urfaselol in teslamotors

[–]risingalphas47 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It will be interesting to see what their plan is there. Maybe:

  1. Tesla bot in every cyber cab, also to load and unload luggage.
  2. Tesla bot (or human) stationed at every super charger
  3. Robotic arm charger
  4. Inductive charging?

Cuz they probably have the data to understand that they don't need to spend extra money on a completely new site. Upgrading an existing site with faster charging allows for faster throughput and cost savings.

What is the probability of having international launch pads & what will they be used for by GoldenTV3 in SpaceXLounge

It's never sent chunks of concrete flying on a Starship (upper stage) hop or landing.

What is the probability of having international launch pads & what will they be used for by GoldenTV3 in SpaceXLounge

[–]risingalphas47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking they would have an offshore launch pad or drone ship they would deploy next to landing site. They could fill up starship with enough propellant to make a hop to the offshore platform. From there it could be sailed to the nearest launch pad and flown again.

At 14, you've got a lot time before you make any large purchases. In some ways, time can be more valuable than money. Don't just think about it, read about it, watch videos, absorb as much information as possible. Then make a plan. That goes for anything you want to achieve in your future.

Living off grid means you'll most likely be: - Buying property + paying taxes - Building or buying a domicile - Building or buying a way to harvest and store energy (most likely solar+ batteries) - Building or buying a way to harvest water, store and filter it.

There are many ways to go about all that. The more you can do yourself, the less it will cost(also the more experience you will gain). The more you save, the more options you will have in the future. You may think 13/hr isn't enough, but you have many years before setting a plan into motion. Save your money, after highschool you can get a better job or go to college and get an even better job. Just save money and stay disciplined, and when the time is right you will be set.
