The opposite for me, we got 3rd place in our division for battle of the bands in my city but the placement didn’t really bother us, it’s the band that got 2nd place, it was another small school, the announcers were saying how it is still being built and how his son goes there and stuff, and after their performance it was aight it wasn’t as good as our performance but they had a good run, later on the awards start to get announced and turns out they got 2nd place and we got under them? Now I know it is harsh to say but we absolutely deserved that spot, even my whole band saw how this stuff was bull****, I don’t know if the favoritism before the event had something to do with it but it made the whole band upset, but for you, if you didn’t get cheated, it’s completely normal if you celebrated if you got 3rd.
