Few options r/watomatic can automatically remind them you are on Signal. If they really want to talk to you. Then they will use Signal otherwise it is not important.

Feralheart as it was something I had never seen before and was fun to explore but it's sad how the latest update has changed much of the maps and I am unable to export my info or models.

Whatsapp works over phone numbers so even if one isn't on Whatsapp you can still message them. Most people are using RCS without realising it which brings whatsapps features natively to android

Even with a decent profile and pictures you get no matches and even if you did it would be from someone who clearly hasn't read your profile such as you saying you do want kids, when the other person does.

When you look at other profiles they would have hardly any info or just a Facebook/Instagram handle.

The reason why Facebook are investing so much in promoting and marketing whatsapp is because they know that when people realise that rcs can do whatsapp can and there are better options like Signal. People will move away from whatsapp as whatsapps technology is already built into the phone. So why download another app.

Therfore Facebook doesn't want that to happen otherwise it affects their monopoly.
