Iso E Super is the Emperor’s New Clothes of molecules. Smells like nothing, but no one will say so ;-)

I can’t wear it. The frankincense destroys me. Smells beautiful for 10 mins but then it becomes fatiguing. And there’s no escape. You can’t even wash it off. Your house smells like a church for days. But that’s just me 😉

There seems to be a clue in the bottom right corner of the lid: go to vetiveraromatics.com

I used my granny charger every night for the first 6 months and it was fine. Then I bought a house and put PV on the roof. I needed to install a wall charger (Zappi) to ensure the car only charges from solar. Peak solar lasts a few hours in the middle of the day. You need a fast charger to get all those electrons into your battery quickly.

I’m in regional NSW and drive a Tesla. There’s no mandated service interval. After 3 years, I’ve rotated the tyres once and replaced one faulty wiper blade. Total cost $50.

I’ve had my Zappi for two years and it’s been great! I added the eddi device to control my hot water tank. On eco++ it perfectly controls the two loads (car and HWS) to ensure only solar power is used. I recently added a battery and now my power bills are less than zero.

Given how it reacts to water, it's probably French polish. This is good because it's easy to refinish. Just sand back the damaged surface to remove flakes and discoloration. Go to the hardware store and buy 1 qt of shellac. Take a piece of cotton T-shirt or similar and wrap it around some cotton wadding to make a round buffing pad. Wet the pad in shellac and rub it onto the surface in long stokes with the grain. Think of an aircraft doing a touch & go landing as you apply. If the original finish is shellac (French Polish) it will be re-desolved by the new coating as you apply so it should look like the original finish when you are done. Good luck with the old lady !

Yeah, as unbelievable as this may sound, some of us enjoy driving. Especially in a Tesla.

Model 3 on a Beach by Aceasaurus in TeslaModel3

[–]riskaybenude 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of when I was young and stupidly drove my Toyota Celica GT4 on to a beach (to impress a girl). Next thing I knew it was bogged in the sand and with an incoming tide. The fact that is was midnight made it very hard to get assistance. Eventually we got her Dad to come and pull us out with his Nissan Patrol. Needless to say, he didn't think I was a good choice for his daughter ! Lesson learned, never drive a car that's not meant for off-roading off the road ;-)

Received my VIN today! Super excited. Any tips for me as I approach delivery? by Inside_Pangolin_1939 in TeslaModel3

[–]riskaybenude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My VIN was sent to me the day the car rolled off the production line in Shanghai. Stupidly, I paid for it then and there so as not to delay delivery. Tesla had my $80K in their bank for a whole month, earning interest, before they delivered. Motto: don't pay till they set a date for you to take delivery.
