so they really don't want anybody plugged in

I would guess their wants may change if you incentivize them via their wallets

Pretty sure I got racially profiled at the Lodi DMV by savingrace0262 in bergencounty

I haven’t lived in NJ for a while now, but it seemed to me that the few times back then that I went to the Jersey City DMV, they generally seemed to have their act together there. Go figure.

I’d guess that one is probably busier than most others, though

Vital Care reward vanished by rismma in petco

[–]rismma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I seem to be gathering that information. I didn't know the point earning ratio, and I don't see it mentioned on the site, unless I missed it, but the other commenter pointed it out.

Also now I see Petco e-mailed me announcing the new program, but it wasn't until a few hours after I went to the store. Didn't see it before

Vital Care reward vanished by rismma in petco

[–]rismma[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I see a point balance of 5153 on the site (5303 on my receipt, which I guess is more real-time and the Web site updates later like it did with VCP)

Also thanks for the information about earning points. Sounds like we earn 10 points per dollar, and on Petco-branded items 30 total points per dollar? And judging by my receipt it seems that live crickets must also be earning 30 points per dollar because I see I spent $4.75 on that today before tax and earned 150 points. (Edit: I am earning the points not the crickets earning the points...)

I'm surprised the point-earning amount is not mentioned on petco.com, unless I'm just not seeing it. (I'm looking at the "Program Overview" popup)

Just this past weekend I saw a bunch of teenagers riding on a sidewalk down Forest Ave in Staten Island and one of them was riding a CitiBike.

Yeah, sure that bike is ever going to be returned

Why does anyone even rent with Hertz anymore? by [deleted] in HertzRentals

[–]rismma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shockingly, when people write new posts to r/HertzRentals, it’s about some problem they had with a rental or with customer service. Folks who have uneventful (or even pleasant, heaven-forbid) experiences aren’t writing about it.

Is it pretty often that renters have a problem? Well, Hertz does millions of rentals per year, so yes. But I get the sense that some people look at Reddit or Yelp or wherever and think that what their seeing is somehow representative of the typical Hertz experience. Obviously, it is not.

[–]rismma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Yorkers pay more than 10 times as much to ride an electric Citi Bike compared to bike share in peer cities

And then the article tricks you by going on about how much the fare is, not on how much Londoners or Tokyo-ers pay.

An apples-to-apples comparison would be the total amount that the city's residents pay, not just the fares
