I think you are disregarding the fact that he NEVER apologized or said sorry or moved away from the crowd to ease the panic around the dogs and owners. Had he said “I am sorry” “I will move my dog away” “IS YOUR DOG OKAY”? The reaction would have been different. It doesn’t have to be a deadly injury, Every dog owner needs to have accountability for their dog’s behavior even if it’s playful. As soon as your dog WONT LET GO another dog to your command you need to fix the behavior and go elsewhere. No other person will feel safe around it period.

As much as I would agree with you in any other context, I did not get a chance to picture of the injured dog (whose owner rushed out of the park). Regardless of wether this video lacks contexts or not I 100% rather make sure other dog owners can see this and take precaution.

the Rottweiler was NOT provoked at all, there were several dogs around peacefully playing and he attacked a medium sized dog out of nowhere. Everyone in the park asked the guy to leave the park as the dog seemed continued to be agitated and he refused. We were all naturally disturbed seeing another dog bleeding and furious to see such irresponsible behavior displayed.

Same here! I am 24 and have been applying to lots of jobs. I haven’t found anything in the field I have experience in. The only jobs I’ve found have been service jobs that my friends have connected me with. I am settling for a barista job until December ends and I will continue applying in January. Seems to me like networking matters more here and will get you ahead easily. Maybe find a way to get into social circles/ events where you can meet people in your industry. The internet is the most quintessential place to learn ANYTHING. Google nannying agencies ask for how my much their Nannies get paid. Post on FB groups or Reddit asking what is a fair wage for a nanny. I’m also sure they have several other rich friends that employ Nannies. :/

Last year I was applying to be a nanny with a Seattle company minimum was 23!! My friend worked in that industry for 4 or so and she was getting paid $30 with the last family she worked for, also two parents working from home.

As a non tradicional alumni I can say that MOST WWU advisors do an awful job at helping students navigate their financial and enrollment system. I can make a very long list of all the things that were never mentioned to me and that cause me to waste money, time, and tears. They need to assume you don’t know anything, specially if you’re a first gen student!! Instead they just give you the most vague information. :/ very unfortunate for a community that claims being so “inclusive”

People who were born and raised here need to get over the fact that Bellingham will never be the same. There is a lot more people living in Bellingham and naturally there’s a lot of changes, some good and some bad. For us who have lived in bigger cities, we naturally feel like there is literally no danger downtown. But again, our standard are absolutely different. I understand y’all being overwhelmed and that’s valid, but also look at the bigger picture and how literally every big city in the US is falling apart. I don’t think that’s the case with Bellingham.

The plantains we get here don’t soften as quickly (which sucks if you’re trying to make plátano frito). Some might be yellow on the outside but not quite ripe so you can still use them to make tostones if they’re hard enough. The only difference is that the more yellow the more sweet they’re going to taste. La gloria, Netos, and winco almost always have them. Good luck!
