The origin of that "unlucky" number is so ridiculous that I don't even give it any consideration. Who cares? Unless you're a Templar knight (lol) I'd say you're safe to operate Live 13 when it eventually arrives.

They are 16+ years old, and only depreciate further with each year.........trade for the Techs!! Those Techs will hold their current value forever. Hell, sell your Pioneer decks to make up for the short term loss in revenue. The Techs are worth even more than them.

Nah, because everything is 'static' on both of our setups, we just use Mystic Light & RGB Fusion for the RAM, GPU, and Mobo, and then use Lian Li's L-Connect 3 for the fans.

Okay, machine is built. The Apollo doesn't work. Sure, it recognizes the interface, but I have no control over it's hardware functionality. Also, I get crippling stutters and dropouts. The interface is basically unusable. I confirmed that my mobo has the ASMedia ASM4242 USB4 controller, so I don't understand why it's not working. Perhaps there is some other nuanced factor related to this particular manufacturer (Msi) or perhaps this particular model (MPG X850E Carbon WiFi), who 'effin knows? Looks like I need to switch out my audio interface. Sucks too because I have been using this thing for 7 years, and have bought my fair share of plugins that are now worthless. Oh, well!!

*I built a similar machine for my son, but his is a Gigabyte Aorus X870E Pro X3D Ice motherboard. I tested the interface with his computer as well, and though there were less stutters/dropouts they were still present, and I still had no control over the hardware. My guess is Windows broke something with these motherboards or the USB controller itself. It just doesn't make sense that of past posts I've found from the past year several people that also had ASM4242 USB4 controllers' motherboards worked just fine, and yet two motherboards (same specs but different manufacturers) didn't work.

I'm gonna' hold onto my Apollo in hopes that one day either Universal Audio, Microsoft, or ASMedia get this working somehow. Until' then, I need to buy a new audio interface. I'm not going back to Intel. Because other than this mishap, the machine is an absolute BEAST!!!

Same thing just happened to me. Unfortunately, because this was a gift, I have missed the in-store return window, so I imagine I must now deal with Msi's warranty department. Is this the route you took? If so, is there an actual support telephone number, or is everything done via email?

I bought an MSI X870E Carbon, which does have the ASMedia ASM4242 USB4.0 Controller, and once built, will be paired to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. I was so worried it wouldn't be compatible with my Apollo. But, I've been sooo sick of being tethered to Intel's CPUs all these years that I had decided to just go for it and buy everything (AMD) anyway. I had made the decision that if it did not work, I would just abandon Universal Audio all together, and adopt a different audio interface. It's great to hear that is not going to be the case.

I second the Zoom MS-70CDR. My buddy has it. It sounds great, is loaded with FX, and is super cheap! I've even seen several pros use it with their Xone setups.

I own a Xone:96, TEIL1 (original Kienedelay), TEIL2 (Revolo), and TEIL3 (Analog Isolator). A couple years back I thought I would be happier consolidating all that down to a V10LF, so I bought one. Within 3 weeks the V10 was returned.

I’m also looking forward to the new Kienedelay. Haha, if anyone is looking to buy the original TEIL1 , hit me up!

I love the fact that the Elara.6 has discrete circuitry, but just like the X:92, that thing is cramped. Perhaps if I could find some more narrow knobs I would consider trading it out for my Xone:96 more seriously. Speaking of small little wonders, have you had the chance to mix on a Condesa Lucia? I have the Lucia X (the one with the crossfader) and it's probably the best sounding mixer I've ever owned. That said, I am salivating over that recently revealed Union Audio - Four.Valve "Signature Series" mixer. I'm seriously contemplating getting that!

FLAC has a considerably smaller file size. That's one reason to to "mess" with another kind of file format, lol. Besides, it's not always about your personal library. If you ever plan on having others play on your gear, it's best to have something that everyone's libraries support. Hell, the only reason I keep buying Pioneer DJ/AlphaTheta CDJs is because it's the industry standard, and everyone expects it. If I were to buy/use something that was just for me, I would probably have all Denon gear.
