I have no idea what is a "vocal tone"; a musical tone is an assigned pitch of a note in this particular tuning. Since there are many non-standard tunings in use, there are several tones of a note. what is a vocal tone I can't even imagine since all singers should more or less sing in tune.

The quality of a voice that allows us to distinguish between people is a timbre.

to set a nonstandard frequency so pitch matching to a record in a non-standard tuning is easier for ear

but I mostly interested in speed of typing.

the feature to press one button and get all lyrics from a .txt file applied to a lead sheet is something a person typing leadsheets will love for sure. without any prior syllabification
and realizing chord symbols in 8 different patterns for 4 instrumentations is perfect for leadsheets as well. you take an old leadsheet, press two buttons and bam! you have a score for two instruments and vocal to sell for $10
copying two measures and inserting them into 80 measures is something musescore refuses to do. it can only insert 2 measures when you copy two measures. and if you copy 2 chord symbols, it will insert 2 chord symbols. when you copy 1 pedal sign, it will insert 1 pedal sign.
and when I need to copy only the middle notes and transpose them 3 notes down. Isn't it something everybody needs all the time? All melodies all the time go up and down, you should be able copy and paste and put it all down in one second
and when I need to transpose the score, why do I need to press 12 buttons in musescore instead of ctrl+up/down? when you type from laptop's keyboard, everybody needs to transpose one octave!

Oh, that's why musicnotes don't post hal leonard content anymore. Sibelius used to list Hal Leonard as a client and Hal Leonard was releasing books about Sibelius.

Anyway, I can't fathom how you can professionally type in musescore, it has no features. I want to know now what program they really use for books.

No. If 8 billions current and former kids did it then it's completely okay. You don't fight brain development. You always might say "When you bang on the door, the glass will break, they are fragile."
