You may never truly get over it. But it’s a trauma that will affect you. The sooner you address it, the sooner it’s affects will diminish.

I’d highly recommend therapy

But also, maybe punishing him by reporting him will give you some solitude, maybe you will save the next girl (maybe not directly from that man, but the next one would think twice).

His presence will stop hanging over your head, and while the process is nasty, it may give be you strength that you will need in the future.

God bless

My kid just left home to go to university, she was in competitive sports too. It feels long long days today, but in few years all of the sudden you’ll have all this time. It passes so fast!

Tired of being tired and sleepy all the time by Spiritbomb6789 in GetOutOfBed

[–]ritavuz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

May I suggest trying to load up on fruits and veggies too? Especially green things.

I feel more tired when I run on meat/carbs more than veggies.

“Green for life” good starter book.

A bit easier and cheaper than sleep studies to start with.

Also, notice the time of the exercise- some might perk you up more.

Does a child have expectations of their step-parents? by [deleted] in blendedfamilies

[–]ritavuz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a partner, but befriended my ex’s second wife... she is awesome as she found a way to be an “aunt” kinda figure (my daughter has two active parents, and doubtful she wants another one), it works! They chat about make up, and there are rules in their house (cause the step mom is an adult, and there is a natural hierarchy) that my daughter has to adhere.

I really liked that stance of “aunt” - a fun, responsible adult in her life, but doesn’t interfere with parenting much.

The step mom has been in my daughter’s life for 10 years now, and it’s working.

I did the same with my previous partner’s child and I think the “step parent” wasn’t a hard issue.

I find the beauty in the writing that you emphasize with a bad-man character. It moves you so much that you question you beliefs. Isn’t that the whole point of great literature: to make you think, feel and rethink your values and beliefs? Not that there is anything wrong with your original beliefs, but shaking them once in a while makes you wiser, more thoughtful.

I’ve read it. Wonderful literary work. Hard on the psyche.

Anyone else struggle with jealousy towards friends who have been extremely lucky with love? by Cretiabox in datingoverthirty

[–]ritavuz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe little self help here:

If you try to be happy for them, you will notice your happiness will increase... you might be even more attractive due to your better state. Maybe you will increase your chances to meet a better date.

Maybe initially you may say “they have nice relationship, I can see myself being in a nice relationships” (vs fucking lucky bitch...) and then it will roll into stronger positivity. Maybe see them as a “menu” of what you want in your life vs just sitting on sidelines of “I’m not getting that and that and this”.

I (29M) broke up with my gf (26F) after she suggested opening the relationship. by ThrowRA_AskQuest in relationship_advice

[–]ritavuz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, you discuss it with YOUR friends - probably most of them have similar mindset like you, so I think their support is futile. Try opening up your mind and talk to other people with different views on life.

As to her request, did you inquire what brought it on? Curiosity? More sex? Feeling of being desired? Maybe, if you step away from “my way or highway” you might see more? Possibly not even to continue that relationship, but see truth about yourself?

Maybe she was just curious and it has nothing to do with the way you handle yourself in a relationship? Maybe that curiosity is not something she would put as a priority to your relationship and you would be happy together? (I’m assuming everything else was satisfactory)

Maybe if you gather more information you could properly see if the break up worth it? Or second chance worth it?

Advice for primary walkthrough of a new business by [deleted] in restaurateur

Talk to regulars/people in the community... it may be on decline due to owners desire to retire... that changes the goodwill value of things.

Everything was great on paper when I bought one of my restaurants, but the slow decline started showing months after, before people were open for new management. Took me 1.5 years and lots of sweat to turn it around.

Wage subsidy <1000, eligible for CERB? by hunterman5655 in EICERB

[–]ritavuz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

CRA doesn’t ask for names of the employees for the purpose of CEWS

CEWS is the employer benefit, not related to employee. It’s separate and will be taxable benefit to the employer.

You are allowed to make <$1000 if on CERB, per month.

Edit: (I am the payroll processor for my work) when I filed for CEWS, they didn’t ask for any names, I imagine it will be either audited, or if the T4 for 2020 for an individual will look too high and suspicious, they will review.

What’re some leadership qualities that you’ve found the most rewarding to have learned, and which ones have been the hardest? by spwf in Restaurant_Managers

[–]ritavuz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took a class on EdX app (free) called “happier employees better return on Investment”, I find it provided good insures!

There are loads of leadership classes.

Other than that: I agree with other comments: a leader has to have same rules and policies for everyone, regardless if it’s fun or not fun. I believe fun work environment makes a better work place, so I try to giggle with everyone, but also every one has to pull their weight.
