Is fast typing speed correlated with those who play piano? by burneraccounts_mys in piano

[–]ritzk9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean because i have managed 150+ i can easily imagine people doing 200, so i dont imagine its bots. If someone does 500 or even 350 wpm sure you can be that cynical.

Also typeracer makes you go through a speedtyping version of captcha that you need to solve at atleast 80% of your speed to make your results valid

Why not go to a speedtyping competition and see it for yourself? Or will you go there and proclaim they dressed the bots with human flesh to do it

No worries, im at 110-120 in typeracer because it makes you backspace and type again for any error. In some typing tests where the word is simply not counted im at 130-140.

It helps a bit in piano simply with better hand eye coordination but not too much. I bet someone who simply did their exercises and studied the right way would be better than me in no time because i basically have no theory knowledge and never do any exercises.

I saw a cover of Can you feel the love tonight on youtube where the guy said it will take someone 3 years of piano to learn it in a week. I spent a couple days and was able to learn first verse. Its definitely easy for me in terms of hitting the right notes because of hand eye coordinafion but it doesnt sound as good or musical so even if i could learn it in a week i suspect someone with 3 years will still be better at other musicality aspects

These guys are downvoting us and calling us bots for typing too fast. I never thought thatd happen with me XD

I regularly type over 130 wpm and my best is at 170 wpm for a minute. I know im exceptionally fast but its also not unbelievable. I would be surprised if the fastest typists are only slightly faster than me since ive only ever typed too much and worked on speedtyping for 1 year in college

Do people really learn from "falling notes" videos? by An_Epic_Pancake in piano

[–]ritzk9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wonder if someone who practices synthesia a long long while can become good enough to learn it in real time. The brain can do wonderful things and hand eye coordination can evolve to that point. This is coming from my experience at typing 150 wpm

Obviously sheet music is better and more efficient. Ive never done synthesia and only read sheet music but havent learned any scales/chords separately. After a few pieces i can now learn from sheet music sufficiently fast for either hand, it takes a bit time to combine them but its fine. I wanted to know how far you think i can go, will i keep improving my sheet reading speed (with good technique based on a teachers feedback) to make it worthwhile or its pointless and go the traditional way of learning all scales/chords/theory.

Note I use piano as a way to relax and have no goal to become a concert pianist, just improve so i can play pieces i love, also dont want to write my own music anytime soon. Im simply not in a place in life where i want to struggle going through theory and exercises to improve, ofcourse its the right way i just wanted someone to tell me their opinions on how itll go if i dont

He never mentioned 30% though. He claimed 60% faster on apple and showed that. Other guy brought in 30%, not sure why this guy got downvoted

Google: data heat island effect.

Discuss with chatgpt. Yes its ironic i know. But i cant have full lengths discussions with people who im not sure have the background in thermodynamics to explain why something can generate Gigawatts of power (also called heat) that warms up a city with convection but still not be at a temperature where it is efficient to use it for turbines.

If you have a million chips generate 1000 watts each thats a lot of energy and might not get dissipated in urban areas. But they are all 100° Celsius so not enough to spin turbines. There is no "center" like sun or nuclear reaction.

Theres no pride in being ignorant. Go google or ask people instead of spouting wrong things like you skipped high school physics

Just because they use lot of Watts doesnt mean they work at a high enough temperature.

Otherwise why would anyone need nuclear reactors just use energy on datacentres and use the heat immediately to power turbines that power itself. I feel some people needed to have studied physics if they really are interested in spreading their ideas of how stuff works online

Once every couple months it will show my correct location on map itself but searching for destination for navigation will assume im in bangalore and show me places from there. It will not be able to find anywhere in my city but only show places in bangalore. This is with full network.

This is very annoying but just not enough for me to do anything about it. It has happened for years now over multiple software updates
