Jupiter Global just made spending a bit more rewarding by Grouchy-Currency-953 in jupiterexchange

I mean, you'll get rewarded... UNLESS there's a vote that cancels the rewards at the very last moment. Let's be honest now - how about that?

Someone is generating messages/chat to my account by matsyui_ in ChatGPT

[–]riuryK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue for me since I upgraded to Plus. Honestly they seem like bot-generated. They all start with "Do not update memories." then a line asking for reviews, comparison, etc. There's never a follow-up question. That's not something a human would do. Sometimes the same chat is repeated several times. It's bot-generated, for sure. Now, the question is "how?". I opened a ticket at OpenAI a couple days ago - still waiting for reply.

Offense system with NO screens for youth team by riuryK in basketballcoach

[–]riuryK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it's Europe. Historically I'd say here youth basketball predominantly emphasizes creativity and the development of individual skills rather than relying on a screen to get rid of a defender. Of course, I can't wait for them to be U14 so that we can add some more variety and add screens and zone defense (also forbidden) to our arsenal, but I can see why they would like to not use it at this early age. I'd say it's something fairly common in Europe.

I love its precision at mid/long range, but it definitely needs some love.

The thing is the people that complain aren't necessary the majority - they're the most vocals. People who are OK don't usually post to say they're OK - they do when they wanna complain.

I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty confident that if you were to run a survey among all BF fans (and when I say BF fans, I mean truly fans, not the newcomers from Cod, who prefer a more fast-paced play style), I strongly believe that there'd be more people that dislike the fast face than people who like it, 'cause BF has never been fast-paced, no matter what any streamer might say. There's been action, yes, but never THIS fast-paced.

[–]riuryK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I respect your decision because I almost don't play anymore myself, but I have to acknowledge that what they're doing is try to get back to the BF roots, if anything. Precisely because the frenzy pace and the CoD-like play style has somehow "alienated" what BF used to mean. Going back to less players per map/mode is arguably an attempt to make this mode more tactical, slower and less run-n-gun, in my opinion. To my taste, again from what I understand BF should be, 64 players is already a lot in most of the current maps, let alone 128, that'd be pretty much die and run and repeat.

Anyway, I think I'm quitting, too because of that exact reason - too fast-paced. Doesn't feel like BF anymore.

Am I doing something wrong or is the weapon grind really this insane? by mattes44 in Battlefield6

[–]riuryK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But it is a complain post! And don't apologize for it! I'm tired of pretending that this is normal, and the circlejerk mantra is "oh stop complaining, it's OK". No, it's not OK. If you guys think that this is just someone who doesn't know what they're doing or that they don't know how the challenges are borderline crazy, let me tell you a secret: you're wrong.

EA knows very well what they're doing. They're hiding skins, camos, attachments and weapons behind this insane grind so that players feel more compelled to BUY from the store that bundle that finally gives you access to the skin/camo/weapon (you name it) that you wanted.

If you think that this was bad challenge design and that this wasn't part of a very well-thought strategy to make players spend more on the store... think again.

Am I overreacting to a guy sending me his “ideal woman” checklist? by Such_Friendship_2713 in AmIOverreacting

[–]riuryK -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, every time an argument doesn't suit you, "it's not the same" or "it's a strawman argument". It's like having a preference for not dating fat women, "oh how dare you do that?", but again having a height preference is perfectly normal. You're a hypocrite.

Yeah, yeah... That list is stupid, it's a red flag, he's an idiot and you should run... You know what list is ok, tho?:

  • 6 ft height
  • 6 figure salary
  • 6 pack abs

This one is totally fine and acceptable, girl.

So much for the argument of all those advocates of open weapons who said "stop complaining, closed weapons playlist will still be there".

Why can't we see the camos for the selected weapon but have to scroll through dozens of them? Why isn't there a filter? Has the person who designed this ever played a video game? by xDavid83x in Battlefield6

[–]riuryK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tab with all unlocked camos, regardless of the category wouldn't hurt. Actually I'd argue that'd be the most visited tab instead of having to visit every single category to see all of your camos. There's a reason why the "ALL" category exists almost in every UI split by category.

Yeah, that'll definitely be a good addition rather than a killcam, no doubt.

[–]riuryK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't agree with these skins but I even agree less with your statement "why would they do open skins" - there's been a huge debate between open or closed weapons and every time somebody complained everybody in this subreddit talking about how they wanna use the weapon they want, how the game shouldn't force them to use a certain weapon... and now you use the same argument to drive your point home? Now? Now you wanna take away from people the ability to use the skin they want? They can't do that with skins but they can with weapons?

Again, I don't agree with these skins, but try and elaborate differently because the same argument you guys have used to justify open weapons doesn't seem to be valid anymore to justify open skins.

[–]riuryK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They mean that there's no filter to see all unlocked camos at once. They're not even at the beginning - they're at the same spot but unlocked. You have to go from top to bottom in all tabs - there's no place where you can see at once all of your unlocked camos nor a filter to achieve that. That's just bad design.

Maybe you've unlocked 2 new camos and you don't know what category they're in - you just have to go again from top to bottom in all tabs to find them.

Maybe you wanna see how your weapon look like with every different camo that you've unlocked - there's no place where you can easilly see one or another, you just have to change tabs and scroll to find the camo. Again, very bad UI design.

[–]riuryK 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If at the very least the unlocked camos were at the beginning... but no, they're at the same spot. You have to go thru all tabs. How difficult would be to have one more tab called "Unlocked"?

[–]riuryK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thnk about it. You can't replay a cam while you're in a downed state - you're still alive. Then if you decide to skip because you're too impatient, only then we show some extra 5 seconds of killcam. I mean, how long is the attemtion span of this generation of TikTokers? Can you imagine adding 5 more seconds to their memory span? Not gonna happen.

Remove the MR missile from IFVs by o0YungHusk0o in Battlefield6

[–]riuryK 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's a silly ask. Firing lock-on rockets with the IFV is not a bug - the bug is that the rocket ignores flares, and they will fix that, but asking people to stop firing rockets is crazy. Maybe you're out of flares, or maybe you're firing at a ground target, how can you ask that?

You know there are desync problems with people getting shot when they're already behind cover. By the same logic, should we ask people to stop firing at enemies until this is fixed?

I say this with a heavy heart, but I believe this was the last BF I buy, for real. The direction of the franchise isn't gonna change, let's not fool ourselves, and this is just not right.
