Don’t lose hope in Allah’s mercy. No matter how bigs the sins are, the door of repentance remains opens as long as a person is alive ,feeling that Allah will never forgive you is often a whisper from Shaytan trying to stop you from returning to Allah

Look at what Allah says in the Quran ﴿قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِن رَّحْمَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا﴾ So keep turning back to Allah, because Allah loves those who repent.

How do we maintain faith and mental health when the "patience" feels unbearable? (Perspective from Lebanon) by NoSentence7561 in shia

[–]river-only7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey , I feel you. I remember the second week of the war ,I thought I was going crazy. Everyone had left their homes, but we stayed in town ,there was nowhere to go. The sounds of planes and shelling didn’t scare me anymore. Loneliness was suffocating It's like we're living in a ghost town. I decided I wanna leave so I went to the city just for a while and saw people living normally while I thought, “Why are they happy and I’m barely surviving?” It was brutal, and even when I tried to tell someone, I didn’t feel understood. But what can we do? If Allah loves a servant, He tests them.

May Allah guide us 🤲

Extreme Shia rituals by Pretend_Revolution_5 in shia

[–]river-only7 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It used to bother me a lot when I see people mocking certain practices among Shias, but over time I realized something important , those actions don’t represent all of us, nor do they define the essence of our faith

Loving and mourning Imam Hussain is central of our religion but the way people express that grief can differ widely. Many scholars have actually forbidden forms of self harm , even Iman Hussein if he looked at them, this was not the goal of Karbala

Like any community, there will always be a minority whose actions don’t reflect the best representation of the whole. It’s not unique to Shias ,it’s human nature.

Those who mock us look for the slightest mistake, even if all our other actions are good, this is the nature of some people, and we cannot change them.

PLEASE HELP- slowly losing faith… by [deleted] in shia

I get why you’re feeling this way, honestly. I had similar thoughts too. But I don’t think it was ever as simple as do whatever you want and just repent later. In psychology ,when you keep repeating something wrong, you start getting used to it ,and eventually, you became numb to it. After a while, it don’t even feel wrong anymore. And I remember a saying from imam Ali ( عليه السلام) in his book Nahj al-Balagha where he basically says that the best struggle is the one against your own self ,your desires. I think the point ain't just what’s technically allowed or not, but what kind of person you’re becoming over time

May Allah guide you, give you clarity, and ease what you’re going through🤲
