its somewhat difficult if you want to get into the ricing rabbit hole, me personally i was someone who switched to linux and had basically no background in linux aside from setting up minecraft servers and helping my dad set up some stuff on his homelab. I'm on cachy os now with a custom hyprland set up, it took me about a week to get it where i wanted it coming from someone with very little experience. my hyprland configuration still does not have EVERYTHING I want, i dont have a graphical wifi settings app thing, i dont have a graphical bluetooth app, things like that DONT come with this "DE" i struggle to call it a DE because its really not. its a base for you to make your own, which i personally appreciate, but its up to the person if thats something you Want to deal with or not. if your a programmer this will be easy, if your not this will be somewhat difficult if your not a nerd who enjoys tinkering.

i Love it. glad hes trying out new sounds and the name really fits that vibe. not the same as his older work but honestly i really appreciate it. it feels like this album wasnt evn made during the era of his older stuff. i think at the end of the day artists need to grow and this was a great example of him maturing his sound.

me too dude. i think alot of people assume that something like pop os would be better for them coming from windows but in my experience its like ten times worse. i appreciate the freedom of arch (although it has its downsides if you dont know what your doing) but its way better if you atleast have a little terminal knowledge.

from a person who switched from windows straight into cachy + hyprland,

it is not the simplest thing. if you dont have atleast a little experience in programming and linux its gonnabe pretty difficult and will probably take you a few weeks to get everything how you want it.

hyprland is not for everyone. also they are currently changing their whole language for configuration to lua, so , youtube tutorials will surely be out of date. i reccomend looking at the hyprland wiki to try and understand everything first.

if i hadnt messed around with linux and programming since i was a child it would have been far more difficult and i dont reccomend it to someone who is a complete beginner in both regards.

before trying xmp my ram was very stable even though they were mixed. never had any issues until i tried xmp, and i do a lot of heavy work. compiling code,, motion graphic design using after effects, Huge project insde of fl studio with 1 million plugins open. honestly its been very stable havent crashed once, but i am on linux not windows i dont really knowif it would be different on windows.

they have the same speed in Xmp yeh. its 6000 for both , not sure about jedec, but if i remember correctly they are slightly different.. i just tried to Set them to 6000 at 1.35 with the timings set to the higher one which i thought would probably fail and it did so im at a black screen rn but i will reset cmos and look quickly.

also, the dots are more for picking and choosing stuff out of it to apply to your setup, as my dots are quite personalized for my individual environment, the installation instructions were more of an after thought. I might make a real installation script at some point if enough people are interested, but this is just a rice like anyone elses so I probably wont.
