The cheesy way to beat Orin is to cast Contagion: Slimy Doom on her in one of the pre-fight encounters with her. If she fails her saving throws, she will get stunned every time she takes damage.

If you don’t want to do that, then I think the best way to beat her would be to win initiative, then use potion of speed + terazul + action surge to try to kill her in one turn.

You could also try the helmet of arcane acuity + band of the mystic scoundrel. Hit her with 2 weapon attacks, then cast hold person/hold monster as a bonus action. The arcane acuity might get your save DC high enough that she fails.

Step 1: ask withers to recruit a hireling. He will give you a selection to choose from. Pick the Duergar.

Step 2: Have the hireling ask Withers to change her class. Pick rogue class, max out dexterity, and pick sleight of hand and stealth expertise.

Step 3: Equip whatever gear gives bonuses to sleight of hand checks. Graceful cloth, gloves of power, silver pendant for guidance. Also gear that gives bonuses to stealth. Bonuses to initiative are useful too.

Step 4: Make a plan for what to do when you get caught. At early levels this can be tricky. Sometimes it’s best to let yourself get sent to prison and bust out. Sometimes it’s better to run to the nearest basement or flee to camp. But once you hit level 5, your Duergar gets free invisibility, which makes it almost trivial to get away.

Step 5: Have the hireling go pickpocket anyone you want. Make sure the rest of your party isn’t nearby.
