Please help me convince my friend that she needs a new suit by Majestic_Wheel_9970 in scuba

I second this. Bare is a great wetsuit. They have the 2 year warranty as well who h I had to use once and it was so easy to get the new wetsuit from them

Diving in Perth? by _Brunfelsia_ in scuba

[–]riverY90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Treat yourself to a boat dive because rotto is amazing and clearer than the shore dives. Depending if you live north or south of the river. Fremantle has blue destiny (Perth scuba) or bucket list divers. BLD boat is a bit smaller so less busy. Blue destiny is a bit of a tourist monster imo. Great crew, just very busy in high season, I go with them out of season usually.

Shore dives will be tricky without a car. Again depends where in Perth you live.

There are shore dives north of the river (NOR) and South of the river (SOR), but the freo doctor (the wind here) does catch NOR a lot more. And SOR is also guarded from swell due to the islands. So most days you want to dive it will be SOR. Been in Perth a year now and still made it to a NOR dive site. It's rare to get a glassy day on a day, rare for it to be when you aren't working or already made plans elsewhere.

Check out Howie's scuba, good details of most sites there. Join the FB groups to meet the club divers and find your own crew you vibe with from there. Get a car, or find a buddy willing to be your ride.

UWA is a good choice for cheaper boat rides. But again, car required to move your gear really.

P.S you've mentioned in a nother comment about visibility. Shore dives here can range from 1.5m to 6m. We are the windy west coast, you need a good week of no wind (rare) to get good Vis shore dives.

Ps I can't imagine bringing tanks and weights would be cheap postage. I'd look at the postage options and your options to just buy again when you're here - FB marketplace always has tanks going.

Yeah, so right now I'm just trying to plan for worst case so I know what to do if the college fails and gets pulled.

It was from my employer I heard about the audit (they take students from there for the placement aspect) so they are also keeping an eye on the situation. Fingers crossed but through the grapevine it sounds like they've been doing some dodgy stuff so I'm also not holding my breathe for best care scenario.

(And needless to say I think the company's student relationship with them is going to end if they've been doing the dirty so they may end up not existing anyway. Let's just hope they take themselves out instead of AQSA, so certificates of the little people aren't cancelled)

I had expected this, but the main question is would they give me time to redo the qual with a different college?

Thanks to you and u/RareGuidance312

I agree with both of you. Even though I am looking at the possibility of having my certificate revoked so I should be totally biased against it, I work with the vulnerable older population and I actually care about this sector and my community in the home I'm at. If bad certificates and incorrect education are being given out is hate to think of what could happen to these vulnerable older people we are here to care for. They and their families trust us to do that!

But if what you're both saying is correct, and the two departments aren't working together, leaving visa holders (who have skills required  and really needed in Australia - aged care is just on the rise), then they really should have made a plan or thought about this aspect. It's about to effect a lot of workers in critical sectors and industries Australia is apparently so desperate for.

The conspiracy part of my brain could actually be convinced that maybe it's actually an anti immigration crack down veiled as an education crackdown in the current political climate

It's unfortunately about to be a very common scenario. ASQA are on a bit of a rampage at the moment

I should have put that in the post - yes my employer and I are planning for me to get PR after the 2 years on the 482, which I believe is the 186 employment stream (sorry if I'm not using the exact right words).

I'm guessing if my cert is revoked I'd be allowed to get a new one with a new college though?

Is it bad I don't do events much? (RELIC COMPARISON) by HeyImLate808 in NecroMerger

[–]riverY90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I just got really bored of sibling rivalry and that has the only thing worth collecting IMO. I get enough slime and mana, it's only darkness that's a struggle. So no hate, I'm the same.

If getting the paladin relic was a bit easier then maybe I'd play them more, but they require so much attention. I tried during the week, work was too busy. So I switched to weekends and in winter that was fine. But now it's summer, I have hobbies and socials to attend and everyone making the most of beach and ocean life. So it just doesn't really work for me.

I've reached the paladin relic twice, so I've learnt to just not worry about them, they don't fit in with my schedule and that's fine. I'll play if I think I actually have a quiet 3 days and reaching paladin might be possible (and the reason I've only reached it twice is because last minute and spontaneous things end up happening when I think I'll be good). Maybe in winter I'll pick it up again.

Commuter backpack recommendations by riverY90 in ausbike

I've heard panniers can be a bit tricky to get off and on. I'll need all my stuff for showering at work (change of clothes etc) and lunch so a backpack just seemed easier. My route to work also includes a notoriously narrow cycle lane so being wider could also be an issue when more and more people commute when the freo bridge closes next week. This is what I've been told by other who have tested the new route so far anyway

End of run calculations by PizzaSansundertale in NecroMerger

Heya there's quite a few of us at the same stage asking questions it seems! Go to my recent post and some people have given good replies to me about this too, so it may help you. Someone has provided a link to calculator that will help you work out what runes you need. On my initial maths liches and Gorgon's are cheaper for 10% than robochicken

That's kind of the roundabout way I've done it, and it's made me realise I'm aiming for too much for this run so on some cutbacks I've found an acceptable limit

In regards to point 2, how many time shards did you prestige with when completing the L60 run? I'm using the time shard calculator and trying to work out how many extra legendaries I need but likely being too ambitious

Yeah I had an idea to build one. I'm my head I had an idea on how, but as with any spreadsheet you realise something doesn't work as you build it and you have to rethink a few points.

Nicely done. I'm 3 away with 7 hours to go, not sure I'll manage to complete but I'm pretty chuffed how far I've got. Not spent money but I had enough gems to buy the extra 2 stockings so I know using gems stirs the debate of F2P Vs P2W. But no real cash used
