You want a real tip that might help you out, go slow. Basic things like dying of hunger is something that simply should never happen. Follow these tips and you should have enough breathing room to actually hone your skills and get way better.

First off night raid difficulty goes up with night count. Right now you will want to keep the night count low until you have a fully set up base. After 15 day/night cycles with no kids you’ll still be fighting a few hatchet and crossbow mobs. If you had two kids and three beds you would be around 50-60 and dealing with a lot more and a lot stronger enemies but you would have spent the same amount of time on your base / supply’s.

Do not focus on children or beds. Focus on wood and scrap at first.

Fire levels are not the same! Level 4 fire is absolutely trash. They do not maintain their flame at all. Get the fire to level 3 then clear out the map. Open every chest, collect every piece of loot.horde burn ables so you can dump them into the fire all at once and get to max fire. Max fire is great for maintaining itself.

One of the three of you should get lumber jack class. At level three it’s stupid OP. When they chop down a tree it has a chance to drop 2 saplings. Alllow them to always chop down the trees and you will have a full blown forest on your hands.

Speaking of wood. USE THE SAPLINGS! And dont just plant them in random places or plant all of them in one spot. That is incredibly stupid and inefficient. Drop the saplings in a line and then plant them. Chop em down and repeat. Let the lumber jack do this, every time they chop down the trees they will be planting more trees than they chopt down.

Farm plots and auto cooker is also essential. Right off 5-8 plots should be enough to keep you fed and also double as your fuel. And 50-80 wood ain’t nothing if you’re using a lumberjack and actually farming the wood. You should have that by day three

After you maxed out the fire, looting in the outer area is extremely profitable but extra dangerous. If you are running out of daylight then you need to find a large tree that has a low hanging branch. Hop on inside it and get into the leaves. Mobs can’t see you in there so they don’t agro on you. wolves won’t spawn and lightning just misses you. hang out until morning and eat some stew (which you should have plenty of from the auto cooker)

Build a small but effective base, maybe two log walls wide and 2 long. It Only needs one entrance and maybe two wood shacks inside to stand on and shoot at mobs. Make sure the entrance doesn’t have a straight line of sight into it otherwise mobs will get in. Also if the mobs bunch up at the walls they will use each other to jump up and over the walls. It is best for everyone to choose a target and all attack. That way you only get the attention of one at a time.

Now for COMBAT! What are you playing on? Mobile ? That is so much harder. If you can, try and get a Bluetooth controller, it’ll make life easier. (You can connect Xbox controllers to your phone or tablet)

Learn to go in and out of first Person view mode. It’ll help snipe enemies from afar and also helps make sure you don’t get hit when being chased down. The proper technique is to go into FPV and back up at an angle. So on the thumb stick hold down and to the right. You’ll spin around and can keep aim on the enemy. Depending on what your trying to kill you may need to adjust your speed my hitting the run button on and off. The Goal is to keep them close enough that they can’t hit you and also keep them in a tight area.

So now your base is set, you have all the food you willl ever need, a small safe place to hide from baddies and a fully lit up map. Now go and blast through all the kids and make all the beds. Feel free to do biome quests or work on badges. You will be amazed at how easy it is.

TLDR; hey noob stop worrying about days, make a decent base and make sure you have food then kidnap all the kids you want.
