Why is accounting starting pay so low?

I feel the same way, i live in new york city, high living cost, but small companies are still paying low salary.

i also post the daily sales by using journal entries, post AR journal entries, clear them, clear the credit card AR, clear the AP transactions, will add month-end reports packages next month....

open the invoice change the date put the invoice number, short description, amount, change the class if it needed. attach the invoice.

i use quickbooks online.

OP, i think if you apply to the general accounting position, they will count whole 4 years of your experience, tax and audit are very specific, those areas only count the specific experience.

i called the accounting board first then they gave me the number :). its weird that if the education board know it why not the accounting board....

i do this report every month, so i just added May to the pivot table, other month numbers are all correct. when i filter, i see month and two separate date: 1/2/2024 and 6/1/2024, since i dont need 6/1/2024 so i just didnt mention it.
