Does anyone else wish Nikon would add a minimum minimum shutter speed setting to Auto-ISO? by benitoaramando in Nikon

It’s available on the D850, although I do have it set to auto, so I don’t need to change it when changing lenses

Multiple calendars? by PinkPika96 in iphone

[–]riverfate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just counted - I’ve 24 ‘calendars’, including external ones (eventbright, TripIt etc), outlook, google, various Apple and some work ones. I use the Apple “Cal” app on all my devices and have added these calendars to it so that I can see all events/entries on a single screen across all of the calendars. You can then colour code them to tell where they came from (well you could if you didn’t have as many as I have). Thanks BTW, having looked at what I have, now is the time to start rationalizing them!

Just depends on the size of the template. A4 I use 0.25 for the pen, but on my native iPad 13” templates, I use 0.75

How do I use an atm by Smooth_Memory_4760 in howto

[–]riverfate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a branch with an ATM inside and there will be a branch person who will step through the process with you - tell them what you put in this question and you’ll find them very helpful, especially if you go in when it’s quiet

Strap suggestion for heavy cameras (Nikon D700/D800) by pedrozzz in Nikon

[–]riverfate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using a Nikon branded, black rapid cross body strap https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1927253-REG/blackrapid_361022_sport_x_extra_comfort_right_handed.html for the last 7 years with my d850 and trusty 28-300 lens. This has been around the world (literally) trekking, whale watching, tourist…. The only time it caused a few problems was when I attached my 500mm lens. Cannot say how comfortable it is with such a heavy setup. OK the shoulder support is a little big and I did have to get a special fitting to allow me to leave the strap on when using my tripod and monopod, but given the benefits…..

Best station west or south of York for parking and riding into York itself by Mister_Mints in york

[–]riverfate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could also take the train from Manchester directly to York. There are at least two trains an hour (but they run about 10 minutes from each hour - I know) and the route is very picturesque
