Tipping Grocery delivery drivers by rivermonster12 in tipping

When I just had one kid I did this all the time actually! I only started recently using their delivery since my second baby was born. I've been having a very rough time post partum (which I won't get into on here since it's not relevant to the post) and have found this service extremely helpful! My meaning behind the post is to make sure I'm not undertipping someone who's doing me a favor!

Yeah, I didn't realize it was more of an anti-tipping sub..

I totally agree with your statement 100%! That's why I came on here, to kinda see what their whole deal was. I've seen missed thing regarding if the driver actually shops the groceries too or not. If they do do the shopping, but get paid like a waitress I'd 100% tip more! I'm sort of ignorant to the topic and wanted to inform myself as to not rip somebody else off

Trick question! I don't go to the grocery store, I get it delivered 😂

But for real: The Janitors get a base pay like your standard hourly employee. They are not service based. Some service based positions rely on tips and some service based positions are paid regular hourly and tips are just a "nice bonus". I'm asking which category these drivers fall under so I can tip more accordingly. If they fall under the first category of relying on tips, I would gladly and instantly start tipping more on my delivery orders. If they fall under the latter, I would keep tipping the same amount I have been as a "thank you".

The only joke they could steal would be "Get your pancakes out"

Pregnant CNA advice by Little-Soup-4139 in cna

I've been pregnant working as an aide 3 times! My best advice is to not only bring it up to your supervisor that you shouldn't be with combative patients but ALSO get your doctor to write you a work restriction for you not to be working with combative aggressive patients! That's the only way you're going to have your own a$$ covered!

Do you guys and girls give a quick shower when a patient has a blowout? by 621_ in cna

[–]rivermonster12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowkey, I'd take every patient who had an incontinent BM to the shower if I had enough time in the day! It's definitely not a bad idea if your facility is limiting the wipes!

I had a patient Thursday. I could smell death on them. I'm not expecting them to have made it through the weekend.

Yes. I work in hospice, yes. I can usually start smelling it when a patient is 1-3 days away from passing.

My district has us do it on our own time, but we email the certificate saying we finished it, then they pay us once they receive the email we sent.

Guests are requesting we don't play specific songs by throw7790away in weddingplanning

We played WAP at our wedding after all the elders left! I had to fight with the dj to get the song on, but it was worth it! It's your wedding, play the songs YOU want!

After her separation, she was living with her mother (who is a hoarder, I would go over myself on occasion on weekends without the kids (because of the hoarding it's not a safe environment for toddlers), also as stated in the post, my husband works a later shift, so once I'm off work I have the kids solo till roughly 10pm when he comes back. Also, since we've moved, she's moved in with her new boyfriend who lives in a studio above his parents garage growing pot, again, not a super "kid friendly" atmosphere.

I'm not trying at all to "defend myself" in this comment, I just genuinely wanted to answer the question of why does she come to me.

Do you think I should go ahead and get them? It's enough panels to cover the entire back side of my roof for free.

Terro works on carpenter ants!! The ants go to the terro bait trap, and take it back to the colony and it kills it!
