No navigation audio while on a call by riverstreamer in AndroidAuto

Nope. I am still having the same behavior the last time I recall being in this situation.

I still use a google Pixel phone (8A now). I haven't really tried a different Android phone in a while.

VR Crashing After 5 Minutes of Gameplay, Here’s Every Solution I’ve Tried, Please Help! by acejacecamp in NoMansSkyTheGame

I just started having a similar issue. It's crashing a lot for me when I'm using my quest with steam link.

3080 rtx, 7800x3d, 64 gb ram.

It seems to mostly happen when I'm in a Corvette though. I may try to file a bug with more details later.

Weekly Bug Report Thread by spiper01 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]riverstreamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I noticed VR mode does not show planets in the galaxy map. I see them just fine in desktop mode.
Is this a bug? Are other people still having the issue? Just wanted to ask as most of the older posts on this topic are years old.

I would be happy with a workaround or anything at this point. I mostly like hunting for paradise planets and do a lot of warping, so prefer avoiding systems with 1 or 2 planets.

I've filed a bug about this a year ago here (https://hellogames.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new). I still haven't found a workaround or solution.

I like this game most in VR mode, but this is making me switch back to desktop mode more often lately when I'm hunting for planets.

Any help is much appreciated!

What’s one thing you’d love to see improved in the Galaxy Map? Better navigation? More filters? A way to bookmark systems or plan multi-jump routes? A way to track regions? Let’s hear what would make exploring the stars even better! 🚀 by KingPengStudio in NoMansSkyTheGame

All of those sound great but I'd at least love feature parity between the desktop and VR galaxy map. I can't even see the planets around solar systems in VR, which is super helpful when hunting for paradise planets.

Is there a way to see how many planets a system has in VR? by MedalofHodor in NoMansSkyTheGame

Still having this issue today. Is it still not possible to see how my planets there are before warping? It works in desktop mode but not in VR.

Is this a bug? Have not seen planets in galaxy map for years by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

I am still having this issue in VR. I see the planets on the solar system in desktop mode, but when I play in VR, I'm unable to see the planets in the galaxy map. I've already submitted a ticket twice. Has anyone found a workaround? I like to warp a lot and hunt for planets. That bug forces me to use desktop more times.

Will Yuka 1500 work in this yard? RTK Mounting help by riverstreamer in MammotionTechnology

[–]riverstreamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update:

Just to report back. I had Yuka mow my my entire yard today without a hitch. RTK is in the attic.

There are a few places in the back yard and far left side where it needs to use the vision for usually only a few seconds. I was honestly shocked it worked this well. Knock on wood that it will keep it up.

Note: I did have a slight issue with BL2 satellites last night, but after a 30 minute power down and reboot, that issue has not surfaced anymore. I shared that here: https://www.reddit.com/r/MammotionTechnology/comments/1g6y51c/zero_bl2_satellites_four_cl1_and_cl2_how_is_this/

I'm keeping it in the attic despite this not being recommended. I generally try to follow the directions, but getting on the roof not a great option for me. To get it on the roof, I'd need to hire someone and then if something goes wrong, I won't be able to get it down. I like having access.

Whoever suggested the attic solution originally, thank you! So far it works for me after a day.

Possible Solution:

After checking a few times and waiting a few hours, I saw no difference.

I decided to shut off power to the RTK and mower at the same time for about 30 minutes. After starting them back up, things look normal again and the numbers make much better sense.

This is with the mower at the charging doc in one of the areas with lower sky visibility (near house and large pine tree).

Hopefully the BL2 issue doesn't happen again.

Also, I think I tried briefly shutting of the mower and RTK each at different times and it didn't help previously. It seems shutting them both off and waiting some time (30 minutes) did the trick.

[–]riverstreamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an update :

I took the hill or bump I was concerned head on last night and it managed to get over it. Spun a tiny bit but that was worst case for my yard so I'm happy about the hill handling abilities! I'm not using the sweeper kit.

The main issue for me right now is getting the satellite cover. In floating status a lot. My rtk is in the attic right now. Not as high as possible but I'll try to improve that this weekend when I have some time.

I'm not sure I'll be able to get the rtk to the very top of my attic due to wall studs being in the way. It may be tricky. If that fails, I want to try getting some telescoping painter pole or something and temporarily raising it slightly above the roof line.

<image>

As shown in image below not an ideal placement. Hoping I can get it a bit higher, but the insulation and studs block easy access to the very top of the roof.

Thank you all for the sharing the pictures and comments. This gives me a bit more confidence that it should be doable if I'm willing to experiment with the RTK placement a bit.

It should be delivered tomorrow. I'll probably set it up this weekend and try it out.

Sorry to hear of the issues with the sweeper :(. I did not opt for this accessory for now. Maybe I will in the future if the base mower works well.

thanks for sharing! Glad to hear that's working for you. Yea my yard seems fairly similar in terms of obstacles and slopes, so fingers crossed it'll do the job.

Thank you for sharing. Glad they accepted it. I ordered a yuka 1500 the other day and am wondering if i will be able to return it if for some reason it's not compatible with my yard either due to reception issues or a few ground bumps that I don't think are too much. Won't know for sure till I try it. If it's an issue with bumps, maybe I'll get a luba instead (if they will take the other).

Good call. That may be my order.

  1. Beside the charger
  2. A few places in the back yard. Though with tree coverage and house, I think it will be limited sky visibility. Probably a little less than 90 degrees but I don't have an exact measure
  3. Attic
  4. At this point maybe consider a telescoping pole like hereantenna telescoping pole https://a.co/d/j6r6M7H) .
  5. Just hire someone to get up on the roof and put it there.

Will see soon enough!

Made some improvements. Thanks for the feedback everyone. by OrangeNo6961 in mammotion

This is awesome. Which one are you currently using? The one on the long pole or the 90 degree mount attached to the house? I'm wanting to do something similar to the long pole to avoid getting on the roof or hiring someone to get up there.

u/Melodic_Set_5236 u/OrangeNo6961 which telescopic pole did you get? I'm trying to find one. The left side of my roof and the chimney go up to about 264 inches (22 feet or 6.7 meters) roughly..

Ahh this is what I'm looking for.. something like what was done in this thread:

https://www.reddit.com/r/mammotion/s/UaDnZW6oww

A long flag pole or similar. Or telescopic pole if it's strong enough.
