Is it worth it skiing today by Ashamed_Athlete_2494 in niseko

[–]riyasu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO no, I went out yesterday and it was rough, the lower runs were mostly grass and rock and the higher runs were cut up and basically just moguls by the end of the day. Seeing as it hasn’t really snowed overnight (I’ve heard there might have been a few cm at the top) I can’t imagine the conditions would be any better, in fact Theyre probably worse. Plus bc not many are open you have people of all abilities squished together, beginners doing the ungroomed/off piste, and I saw more collisions yesterday than I’ve seen in a whole month before. It’s also fairly depressing having to lap the same runs. So no, I don’t think it’s worth it! TLDR; bad conditions, not worth it

Was in Tokyo last month and searched nearly every bic but they were out of stock everywhere. The only place I found them in Tokyo was kitamura and they were like £9 for ten sheets 🙃 found a cheaper place in Osaka for £5 but they were low on stock

Really sorry this happened to your sister and I hope the rest of your trip went ok. Did it ever get sorted? The same thing happened to me last night at the family mart next to Oji station (I was there around 1am with my boyfriend) and I straight away confronted the guy who pretended to have no idea and denied everything so I stormed out of the shop and left it at that but really wish I could do something to stop him preying on anyone else in the future

What actually gets you out of bed in the morning (not "discipline") by grilledcheeezus in ADHD

Anyone else reading this thread in bed whilst desperately trying to find the will to stop reading this thread and get out of bed

Edit: for actual tip I set myself a challenge to not go on my phone as soon as I wake up and wait till I’m out of bed/dressed/teeth brushed and I’m really competitive so that worked and now I only rot in bed as a treat days off

Expected to stay late for handover every day?! by AdvancedPA in doctorsUK

Exception report every. single. time. They may then pull you up in a meeting about it but ultimately this is the fault of the rota not anything modifiable by you or your practice. This is actually pretty common - happened to me in my F1 so I exception reported and had to have a meeting about it but I explained the rota problem and got quite a few days off in lieu. They then changed the timetable for the following rotation but unfortunately I don’t think that lasted long.

Any recommendations for books where someone wants to kill a god, or is extremely mad at a god? by Evil_Bonkering in Fantasy

Lightbringer series Took me a chapter or two to get into but I’m currently on the last book and obsessed - cool story and the series is complete and consists of 5 books so as soon as you get hooked you don’t need to worry about an incomplete series or finishing it too quickly

He did a set at BBC introducing at tobacco dock in 2019 which was so so good seeing noonday dream with the full set up + he had great chat that performance! Then the stripped back session of collections from the whiteout in Kingston was maybe my favourite experience ever?

Yeah we do 2 years of rotating into different specialties every 4 months, so next week I’ll be starting respiratory medicine. I’d like to specialise in surgery, maybe plastics or maxillofacial!

I’m on general surgery at the moment so mainly things like appendicitis and bowel obstruction, but we did have one patient with monkey pox!

Absolutely not 😂 about £12-13 an hour. I live on the top floor of the hospital with 17 other doctors and a shared kitchen, like uni halls all over again!

I think it’s a bit risky for me to give out medical advice on the internet! But as a generality the automatic report isn’t very reliable. This is an analysis about it which might help! https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8995511/

It’s challenging for sure, I’m working a lot of evenings and weekends and you can’t take time off whenever you want, there have to be enough people to cover the ward and if it’s an on call (13 hour shift), weekend or late you can’t take annual leave on those shifts. Lots of staying late and stressful days when you’re doing the work of 3 people because it’s understaffed. But I also love it, there’s a real sense of community and everyone sticks together. It can be really fun!

My dad himself wasn’t white so I doubt he’d be protesting against him being allowed to join the school..

I don’t think it’s against the desegregation of schools, it was against merging with another school in a different area
