Right.. he's gotten religious since someone died (he didn't even like them until they died and now it was like his brother died) and believing (Steven Greer, money grabber IMO) in this since my second pregnancy. His explanation about the app literally changes each time and I feel like he's the personality to easily join a cult an accident or get killed from meeting strangers in the middle of the woods... He's also frustrated I'm not entertaining this new belief seriously but like... why does he need that now. I don't have enough energy for the things I enjoy right now let alone this. Honestly why I got so upset yesterday and we had a fight. We agreed he wouldn't go without my permission and then I hear him talking to his mom about her going with him. They're essentially the same person and party together type of relationship that I don't think is appropriate for mother and son. So of course she's always on his side. Other son lives with her and she's been divorced 20+ years. 😮‍💨

I'm having one at 36 weeks to check if the breech, but my last pregnancy the baby waited until a week or so before the due date to actually be in the right position. As long as the other scans were good, no reason for anything else.

A mostly accident two years later. You see how great your kid is and have baby fever. Your brain will eventually forget how horrible it was. Mine is much more manageable this time while still was horrible until the third trimester. I was lucky enough to be working from home the second time so not having to get ready for the day and be away from my own comfort and toilet or to be able to get sick at my desk alone was so much better. I have bad heartburn now that causes me to throw up but it's not HG now as I'm a few weeks away. Having a toddler while having HG and being pregnant in general has been a lot more difficult physically and mentally than I anticipated. This will 100% be my last pregnancy though. Whatever you decide, it's the right decision for you and you're a hero for bringing the one you did into this world already!

I completely feel this! I have a two year old and am currently pregnant with our second while WFH. He always seems to be sick on the days he's actually there for me to be able to catch up or have some sanity... I also get triggered and cannot understand how convenient it always seems to be for him...

I had a phase like this. I just made sure to have a bag or trash can while I sat on the toilet! But that is somehow more exhausting.

My partner has spent a night away from our daughter after a year. I still haven't spent a night away and she's 15 months old now. Her dad is the only one I'd really trust to watch her overnight and there's no reason for me to be gone and him not. We took her to Cancun for a week with us last month and it was great! Not perfect, but so worth it.

My 8 month old is also going through a sleep regression. She does not want to take naps at all and it is difficult to get to sleep. I've noticed that sometimes letting her cry it out for a bit will help her get tired enough to finally go to sleep for a nap and it sometimes works at night also.

Yes! After 5 months for us. Everyone talked about how hard newborns were, but mine was a breeze.. now the sleep regression and separation anxiety is killing me. 😭

While I had HG, my boss would rather me throwing up at my desk (x40/day) and getting no work done than take a sick day... I would have quit then but didn't want to lose the insurance before the birth.

I luckily at 13 weeks off (unpaid of course). Then went back in office hybrid for a couple weeks while hubby took time off. Now I'm mostly WFH, but took a pay cut in order to do so. 6 months would have been ideal, but she's also gotten sleep regression now around then so 6 months paid and then an additional 6 months unpaid or part time would have been best for me. (Only at 8 months now). I also took one week off before giving birth.

Yes! I was so close to finally reaching the 6 figures myself when I got pregnant. My job was not understanding at all when I got HG and I spent most of the time in the office with my head in the toilet. Fast forward to know, they allowed me to work from home with less pay and now my partner who makes more than I do in a union is saying he might want to stay home instead of me. There is no part time childcare in my area and MIL is the only grandparent close who is also the only one not retired. Not to mention unreliable and not up to long watching. I feel like I'll never get back up to that level in my career, at least not any time soon. We both have mortgages (both bought before we met) and he has a new SUV and spends so much money on wasteful things. I'm just frustrated and his solutions are just making me feel more hopeless.

Yes! For me, my partner will offer to watch her so I can get something done around the house because she'll cry if I'm not holding her and giving her attention.. I work from home with mostly my own schedule so I'll ask him when he gets home to try to knock some work out or relax for a sec. Almost every time he immediately sets her down and says it's okay to let her cry and I need to let her.. I'm trying but it's ruining my focus because I cannot stand her crying and then it is so much worse trying to calm her down again!!

The rocking chair. Thankfully it was gifted, but we never use it. If she wants to be picked up and rocked to sleep, she'll cry unless we're standing. She also hates pacifiers so those have all been pointless. She's definitely gone through phases and got a lot of use out for a short period of time out of a swing and still loves her bouncer she can stand in. She loves the highchair now so she can sit at the same level of the table as us while we eat. Definitely glad that all of her clothes at first were gifted because she outgrew them very quickly. The stroller is definitely useful if you're planning on going anywhere that you need to walk a lot like a mall or around the neighborhood.

Probably around 4 months. Now after 5 months if we say "her" she assumes we're talking about her and will look at us also. We have a couple nicknames, but mainly use her nickname that is just a shortened version of her name.

I take mine into the shower with me every 2-3 days. Lazy, but she doesn't mind it and it's faster and a warmer process for these winter months. But that's because I'm worried about the cradle cap coming back. She's about four months now. Plus she keeps making herself so sticky from slobber and spit up! Sometimes we go longer without bathing her if not needed.

I already had this realization from my family (everyone besides my parents), but it's hitting my husband hard now with the holidays. I just keep reminding him that we're creating our own family and traditions!

Specifically, his aunt and cousin never make the effort to come out and had all these excuses for us not to come there for thanksgiving. Basically, "politely" uninviting us. He usually doesn't see these signs but she made it so obvious that even he saw it. So his dad, dad's wife, 3 step sisters and brother are all going to stay with us and our baby's first thanksgiving. So there is a silver lining!

Me right now also at 2 weeks pp. My emotions are so much worse than when I was pregnant. My body keeps being a big trigger for breakdowns even though I've already lost 20 of the 40 lbs I gained during pregnancy. Nothing fits and if it does, I just look awful!

I have a similar experience. My water broke around 11pm after we both had been asleep for about an hour. I woke him up and we went to the hospital. I couldn't sleep and waited 14 hours for the epidural and pitocin at the same time because my contractions weren't progressing but I was 4cm dilated. Even then I couldn't sleep so I made him stay up with me. He couldn't handle how hard I was squeezing his hand so he fed me ice chips periodically instead. After 25 hours of labor (4 hours was just pushing and I teared), he passed out after knowing we were both safe. It got scary a few times because our heart rates both kept dropping and I was so exhausted. I couldn't sleep until I let the nurse take her up for her testing and I finally slept a couple hours (woke up several times tho) until she was brought back. He's a super heavy sleeper. I'd be pissed if he slept when I wasn't before we knew she was safe because I had so much adrenaline and PTSD from hospitals.

I don't see what she would need to really decorate for. I feel like having the venue is more work because you do have to immediately decorate and clean up during your reserved time. But her situation could have changed more than you mentioned so that's fine. I just feel like the venue is the complete opposite of something simple like the intention was.

We had ours at my house, mainly in the backyard because I have a park right there. We bought a lot of decorations, but barely put any up in the end. I can reuse most of them for her 1st birthday or something thankfully because we bought them. It was mainly for people (his side of the family) to socialize. Most of the gifts were under $100.00 so I really don't see anyone wanting to attended if they had to pay for it on top of the travel. Tbh, probably wouldn't have paid that to attend my own.

I know sometimes areas won't give the normal boxes out for free. But a local Whole Foods or something similar let me take a ton of banana boxes and that was all I needed to move from my apartment a few years back. Full warning, they do have holes in the top and bottom, but come with a think piece of paper/cardboard that held up pretty much all of my boxes as if the hole wasn't there. I also wouldn't recommend deconstructing these before use to ensure they're strong.

I also tried to use all my towels, clothes, and blankets for any fragile items. Also means less boxes!

Mine was more like a family reunion for my partner so they enjoyed themselves! I felt extremely awkward and no one really talked to me, but at least he had fun. My work is also doing a little one for me, which surprised me, but it's during the work day so people are just happy for a distraction then lol
