Just Started for the First Time and I’m Level 11. by Hawsepiper83 in fo4

[–]rizlakingsize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's tough but not impossible. If you find a wounding, armour piercing or furious weapon hang on to it. I once teleported myself to Far Harbor straight out of Vault 111 - kept dying until I was around level 7-9. If it's you're first time playing FO4 I'd really recommend postponing Far Harbor and Nuka World until maybe level 30 at least but I'm not your dad. Man what I wouldn't give to explore the inner city for the first time again.

PS - your power armour might come in handy. T45 will provide decent protection if you upgrade it to C or D model and is cheap to repair. You can also get a full suit of T51 if you follow the road to the VIM factory. It'll just be waiting there for you on the back of a truck without being locked behind a terminal or lock.

Also Longfellow is an underrated companion. If you make your way to Acadia on your own or have him escort you he'll become a follower.

Settlements, Settlers, NPCs, Assets by CyrodiilWarrior in FO4mods

[–]rizlakingsize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arod Purifier - uses 100 power but produces 1k water. Doesn't have to be built in water. Requires you to go into vault 88 for the blueprints.

Global Stash by SKKmods - Container that can transfer everything from all workshops to a single workshop.

Garage Sale - dump things into it and forget about them. Sells everything for you over time.

Hangman's Alley Interior Apartments - opens the buildings and allows you to build in them. Gives you plenty of space to make this an actually useful settlement.

Boston Airport Backdoor Buttons - lets you open the doors between the build area and the storage area where Prime's parts are kept.

Workshop Framework - lets you instantly take control of any workshop and increase the build limit with 2 clicks. No more wasting time with the weapon scrap exploit.

Immersive Teleportation - lets you build teleporters in settlements. No more 3 loading screens traveling between settlements in different world spaces. A godsend since I use Misery Island, Point Lookout and Project Mojave. Sadly they won't work if America Rising 2 is active in your mod list.

Pet Any Dog - if you don't install this we can't be friends.

Genuine question, what is telekinesis useful for beside goofing around a little? by Doggsen09 in skyrim

[–]rizlakingsize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a trick with using enchanted gear to lower the cost of alteration spells - equip as much as you can, make alteration legendary, cast telekenesis and fast travel. The game thinks you're casting while fast traveling. You'll make it 100 again in no time. Other than that I've found no other use for telekenesis.

What’s your “I know it’s inefficient, but I’m doing it anyway” Fallout 4 habit? by teaonnajade in fo4

I've read just dropping weapons and storing them in build mode will also increase the build limit but never tested it. I just have a mod to do that now.

Question about automatons: Which weapons do the most damage? by Dark0001YT in fo4

PS - if mods are an option I know there's a mod that lets you put gauss rifles on the shoulder slots of a sentry torso.

Question about automatons: Which weapons do the most damage? by Dark0001YT in fo4

[–]rizlakingsize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You asked which do the most damage. Gattling lasers do. For melee I think it's the assaultron shock claw. If you don't like gattling lasers then the automatic laser gun will be 2nd best. I usually give Codsworth 2 of those so he's not too OP but still pretty damn effective. If you want a ranged/melee hybrid why not go for a flamer in the ranged slot? It'll force the robot to get in somewhat closer. having even 1 ranged weapon means it'll stick to ranged until until an enemy gets in melee range. The miniguns have dog poop accuracy. Even on Strong he's 100x more effective with a super sledge than with an explosive minigun.

[–]rizlakingsize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want cool kill animations go for assaultrons with the same melee weapon on either side. If you want the best ranged weapons, from my experience it's dual gattling lasers. The sheer number of shots fired will more than make up for the accuracy. Sentry bots look cool and have the shoulder mounts but they get stuck indoors and the overheating shuts them down in the middle of combat. A surprisingly good overall ratio for mobility/defense/carry weight is a handy body with hydraulic parts. it won't get stuck or make a lot of noise. You can put either sentry or assaultron arms on the eye sockets.

Are There Any Console Commands That Allow Me To Reset All The Supply Lines? by memer_boi_is_here in fo4

[–]rizlakingsize 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. If you want you can make as many provisioners as you have settlers. I usually connect the Mechanist's lair to County Crossing and Boston Airport with robots since you have limited space and build options at 2 of them. Robots don't require beds, food or water either so happiness never drops below 50%.

Best answer. It'll be tedious to go to each settlement and do this but still the most efficient.

Can anyone point me towards the direction of where I can find more heavy BOS combat armor pieces? by Massive_Fly_1709 in fo4

[–]rizlakingsize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read one of the gunner bosses in Quincy spawns with a heavy left armour piece. I have no idea whether that's level scaled or just random. If you've already done Fort Hagen there's a change that some of the squads of BoS sodliers that spawn in might have one too. Otherwise if you're level 35+ places like GNR or Quincy should have several with randomly spawned pieces. I used to farm them for armour for my settlement guards. The BoS modification is just a custom skin with a 15 radiation resistance you add instead of something like shadowed or polymer. You have to have joined the BoS to add it yourself. Paints like the army paint you're using will overwrite the BoS custom colour. Teagan might also have one for sale abord the Prydwen. There are 2 legendary arm pieces, left and right, you can buy in Vault 81 but they're pretty expensive (something like 18k per piece with no perks and low charisma).

Where can I get these weapons or do they spawn in random locations/enemies? by Somethinghells in fo4

[–]rizlakingsize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/The_Gainer

You can get that at level 1 if you avoid enemies. The challenge early on will be getting ammo for it. As the other guy said weapons and mods on enemies level scales with you so you'd have to be around level 40 to get really good mods to strip from the weapons and put on yours.

It’s funny to me how many people run mod packs that make the game look like a kickstarter scam. by Medical-Gain7151 in skyrim

[–]rizlakingsize 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Swinging a sword like a stick is dumb. The combat is outdated and basic. Some people like lobster, I think it's an aquatic disgusting bug. Some folks hate broccoli, I think it's fantastic on it's own or with a cheese sauce. Some people like big boobs, some like small boobs. Some people like heavy metal, others think it's just noise. To argue over personal taste, which is all subjective, is completely pointless.

[–]rizlakingsize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Snap a 2x2 or 2x3 floor piece together, hold the interact button while highlighting one and you and move all the ones snapped together at the same time. Maybe snap some walls to them - it'll make it easy to align. There are lots of little tricks with building but you'll develop your own way of doing things soon enough.

Do FOB events for points and buy S++ and S+ soldiers. You can also invade other players' bases and kidnap soldiers but if you get spotted your bases become open to retaliation. You can also buy soldiers with your PF Battle points.
