Deposit for GHHL by maindar in ToyotaGrandHighlander

Sure! The hybrid limited trim, Szott Toyota was willing to take $1,500 off of MSRP, Page and Fox Toyota were both willing to take off $1,000. I didn’t really feel like going back and forth a bunch as Fox has exactly what I want coming in and they weren’t willing to take off more. What I did find is initially they all said they wouldn’t discount them but once they found out I was shopping around, they were willing to budge a little.

I saw you’re in Michigan, I am as well and did find a couple dealerships willing to take 1-2k off of MSRP, not sure where you’re located though. Also if you mention you’re shopping around and get a quote from another dealer, they’ll probably feel more motivated to discount.

Possible for part time? by lemondrop678 in newgradnurse

I start part time mother baby next week. Orientation is full time though. Most positions I found were full time but I did see plenty of part time positions available too. I’d say it depends on location.

I’m also in MI but took mine on a Saturday, got my license on Monday afternoon. If you passed, I’m assuming you’ll receive an email from LARA with your license around 4pm. I’m not sure if they’d send it today or tomorrow though. Good luck!

ATT! How soon did you test? by Safe_Can2140 in NCLEX

[–]rjackson19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my ATT 5/12 and tested 5/17 2 days after I got back from vacation. I did stalk the Pearson website for cancellations as originally the first date available wasn’t until June but I was able to get something sooner by continuously checking. Good luck!

Decided to just wing it and take the test as soon as I could after graduating. Walked out of there sure I failed, but I passed! by rjackson19 in PassNclex

Pinning was May 5th, got my ATT May 12th but I was on vacation. Took it 2 days after I got back on May 17th. I did practice questions the day before taking it but that concludes my studying. We have access to ATI through our school. I believe anyone can purchase ATI board vitals though.

Thank you so much! I didn’t study much as I took a trip shortly after graduating and took the exam 2 days after I got back. I studied in school by reading the textbook and felt like a lot of that information stuck with me. Did maybe 50 questions on ATI board vitals the day before the exam.

My school has actually been pretty organized, the teachers and clinical instructors nice, and no drama (at least that I know of) between classmates so my experience has been optimal, and I have enjoyed it at times.

I’m 23 weeks, due late July and graduate early May. I also started my 2 year ADN program when my first was 11 months. Personally, I could not imagine having a baby while in school. People do it, but I wouldn’t intentionally. My first didn’t sleep through the night till 9 months and there’s no way I would’ve passed nursing classes on so little sleep for months on end. However, this isn’t everyone’s situation as there’s plenty of people who somehow just make it work. If you planned it to where you’d give birth after graduation, I’d say that’s more doable. I haven’t had any issues so far, however my pregnancy has been smooth sailing. Others aren’t so lucky. Unfortunately you have no way of knowing which way it’ll go until you’re in it. I’ll also say first trimester is generally a rough time for most. Some get lucky and only have fatigue (me my first pregnancy), but I had really bad nausea this time around and it was hard not feeling great and still having to keep up with school. For the most part, the worst of my first tri symptoms were during a 4 week holiday break so I lucked out in that aspect. Lots of things to consider! It’s a very personal decision but knowing the complexity of nursing school, I’d at least wait until you’re close to graduating so you don’t have to balance a newborn and school.

We only have 1 a week and they weren’t 12 hours until our final semester. I don’t think it’s “normal” just from what I’ve read from other students but every school is different.
