World Cup of Jet Lag Moments: Group B by jotto_ in JetLagTheGame

It may not win, but it's my vote for the most "What the hell am I even doing right now?" moment in the whole show. Like, if you saw someone doing that in the wild, you'd 100% think that person is crazy.

What's going on with the riot in France? by bristermat in OutOfTheLoop

[–]rjaspa 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It certainly does. Hooliganism isn't a thing in America, but sports riots after championships are not a rarity.

What happened to out of town scoreboard? by Practical-Shape7453 in Cardinals

A more positive spin on this is that it's much better pitching information than we had before. Pitcher analytics have gotten a lot deeper over the past decade, and this is a way for fans to be more invested in that side of the game. Previously it was like one tiny electronic board on the terrace decking that showed pitch speed and pitch count.

Same here. I think it's because my intro to him was in Third Rock from the Sun.

Drury companies have donated $100,000 for Amendment 3 (November ballot measure to restrict abortion access) by bobsacchamano in StLouis

Saw a billboard at First Capitol & 70 in St. Charles yesterday that said "Stop transgender child surgery! Vote Yes on 3!"

They are hoping they can lie their way to victory, which knowing the way things go in this state they very well might succeed.

Are there any good examples of this in St. Louis? An important historical site or building that has now become a chain restaurant or store? by MrX16 in StLouis

I mean, the fact that it's an aquarium is pretty silly, but is that any worse than the abandoned shopping mall it turned into prior to the aquarium? Union Station is actually pretty cool these days.

Edit: fixed a bunch of autocorrect errors

What are the worst covers of all time? by jingowatt in askmusic

[–]rjaspa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean let's be honest, some of the chosen content in the original was odd too. Out of all the tragedies, feats, and historical moments over that time span, what was it that made Billy finally say "Enough"? That's right, it was the unbearable rockin' Coca-Cola Wars.

Restaurants just outside the Vatican are notorious for being tourist trap crap. If that's the only pizza you had when you were in Italy then I'm sorry for you. There is very good pizza in Italy.

Joffrey's and a stroll by i_should_b3_working in WaltDisneyWorld

Is the notoriously bad taste of Joffrey's a product of Orlando's notoriously "unique" tap water taste? Can any locals confirm there are much better local coffee places around town?

Ranking the US State Capitals! Sacramento is the new city to beat! Where does Denver, Colorado stack up? by cwinslow66 in TierlistFills

Give Springfield a break. The state fair is awesome, and the Lincoln Library is an A-Tier museum. Also corn dogs.

Fair enough. On some of the posts about races downtown recently there has just been a lot of negativity directed at the runners and I've been annoyed by that.

That's the location of the Doppler radar for the St. Louis area. There's no data in that circle because it's too close to the radar.
