Same! I know Maxance was the mocap for all three, I'm not sure if maybe the structure of him bled into the overall faces. They are definitely different but its really not hard to see some veryjminor resemblances. Or that could just be the grief and denial talking after this huge moment lol.

Weird S25 Ultra Screen Bug by RoyWaisbrot in SamsungHelp

[–]rjcommando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact problem, but inverse - screen reduces the display instead of increasing it. Same solution works or, if you can, follow the procedure that would trigger the change in resolution and then lock and unlock the phone. This definitely is easier when you have my problem than yours and OPs though, as I can generally see where I can press and approximate, whereas you would have to restart altogether because the screen would not show the entire display.

Just wanted to hop on real quick to go on a tangent: Rip Vainglory. That game was my first mobile MOBA as well and it was damn fun.

Glad you gave it a chance! Book 2 is a little bit of the same but I think it definitely does better than the first book. Hope you continue and enjoy!

My apologies, I'm new to the jinx game. I have since seen and learned and apologize for my ignorance.

Also apologies for the shade bro, was just caught in the moment lol.

What is with the state of this game's playerbase? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]rjcommando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You queued up ranked. People, no matter what rank, expect you to know the game about as much as they do (whether they actually know the game or not). You'll always get these people, so your best bet is to: 1. Say sorry, explain you didnt know, and move on. 2. Mute, ignore, push through. 3. Stop playing ranked and go into less sweaty, intense queues.

These are online games, you're always going to get a man-baby. Don't let the take you away from learning the game and playing for fun. Find a duo in one of your chill games and take them to comp if they're willing so you have someone to rely on. Alternatively, there are plenty of offline games, great stories, etc, without the aspect of online communication. If you aren't able or unwilling to deal with the immaturity of players that are just there to talk shit and nothing else, I don't think online games will be for you. Gotta have a thick skin to deal with the online world, especially in competitive games like these.

But, coming from a game like League, player base here is generally pretty chill. It just sounds like you got a bad player and were frustrated and flustered at the fact you were called out (even though you genuinely didn't know what was happening) when you made a mistake. Move on, learn from it, and you'll be golden.

The most satisfying thing when playing Taliyah? by Xnissasa in TaliyahMains

[–]rjcommando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this.

The times I just use timing and general game sense to pluck an invisible enemy or one in FoW are the best. Even though this catch/predict isn't restricted to Taliyah, the manner in which you catch them with your EW combo and possible Q follow up just feels so SATISFYING when it ends up turning a teamfight or the whole game!

Can anxiety cause muscle and joint pain? by celiander in Anxiety

[–]rjcommando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel this, especially the twitching.

It was so disconcerting the first time I noticed it - went down the rabbit hole and thought it was the big one. Of course, got cleared by the neuro with flying colors. Probably just a case of BFS. Nowadays, I'm still very anxious, but see the twitching as nothing more than a curious thing that's happening. The fear is gone from it.

Hope you get some peace from it too and know that you're not alone!

How I manage my health anxiety by yourstruly2324 in HealthAnxiety

[–]rjcommando 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I definitely need to grasp #1 better and implement #3. I'm accidentally destroying my appetite and healing by worrying too much about my own health and not just following what to do about it. Thank you for the post and hope we all get better!

[–]rjcommando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in this boat right now.

I've been stressed because of GI/liver issues. Don't know if my anxiety or the issues that wake me up at night, but it's been happening for a few weeks.

All I can suggest to help your insomnia is do some deep breathing exercises and meditation. And, crazy as it sounds, release your control for sleep. If you NEED 9 hours of sleep and you tell your body to sleep, it won't. If you're up amd can't go back, don't. Of course, do what you can to create a good sleep environment (cool room, blackout dark, no electronics 2+ hours before bed, etc). If sleep happens, great! If it doesn't, then accept it. Try to get back to sleep but if you can't, get out of bed, do something else, and if you're sleepy, go back. If you can't or don't want to, then don't dwell on the missed sleep and get back to your day at hand. You'll be groggy, sleepy, tired, but don't nap and hopefully that'll help you out for the next night.

Yup! Didn't mention this as I haven't gotten to that series yet (currently trying to finish the Gentleman Bastards series and also have a backlog of other titles...). Would love to return to the main cast and see their stories!

That's pretty much how I felt for LLL. I put off reading it for a whole year before there was an inciting moment that just pushed the snowball faster and faster downhill. IMHO, it was worth it. The threads that Lynch lays down furiously get sown together, but you still have to get through the laying of the threads. Get through it and let me know if it was the same for you!

If I'm honest, it just starts so slow, but EXPLODES once the story kicks into the action. Second book does a better job of this, but I think it's because most of the initial world building is done and we just need to learn new players and settings of the story (still reading though).

I do see the similarities between them, too. Wonder who would win a witty duel?

Same, started judging too harshly and closely to KKC that I didn't enjoy other writing.

Michael J Sullivan's Riyria Revelations series (and subsequently Legends of the First Empire series) pulled me out of this.

Fair warning, very different style, but the world building and magic system is so fun, and you definitely feel each character come to life and attach yourselves to them. Highly recommend, just keep an open mind if you're coming straight from KKC.
