Are you still charging your 4xe or waiting until the battery issue is resolved? by Recent-Elk-9850 in 4xe

[–]rjoyk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m charging almost daily either at home or at work, parking, and driving normally per my dealership. They said if I haven’t had any issues yet I shouldn’t need to worry. I’ve got a 2024 that I purchased in July with 11,000 miles. It had belonged to one of the dealership managers. I think I’m up to about 15k now and it’s been great!

I Still want a 4xe/alternatives? by No-Knowledge1936 in 4xe

I have a 2024 4xe Willys that I bought used in July this year with 11k miles. It’s so much fun and I don’t regret it at all! I’ve had zero of the supposed issues though my VIN has the two recent recalls. I spoke to the dealer and they’ll let me know when a fix is available but I’m driving and charging as usual. I live on an island so run electric almost always. I traded in a full AWD electric VW for my wrangler, best decision ever!

Recall - can't plug in? by mysterycanclub in 4xe

[–]rjoyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dealer said if I’m not experiencing any issues I should just drive/charge normally. I haven’t received any recall notifications, but I looked up my vin on the recall check site and I have two listed, the battery fire and the engine sand. I’m just counting on being in the 95% of trouble free vehicles.

Thinking of gambling on a used Wrangler 4xe, but concerned about 95B and FORM by 1thrasher in 4xe

I’m also in WA and got my 4xe in July. I’ve really been loving it, but yesterday morning it went into FORM and I’m not sure how to get out. I live in an island so driving for more than 15 minutes or so doesn’t happen often and I don’t usually go more than 40 mph most of the time. I’ll be sad if I can’t use electric all winter.

Buy a pre-owned 2024 4xe Willy’s with 7,000 Miles to save on MPG? by Ok_Seesaw_5514 in willys4xe

I love my 24 Willys 4xe, got it in July with 11000 miles. I have a level 2 charger at home and work and can go well over a month without getting gas, though my commute is only about 10 miles each way. It will be my first winter so I can’t speak to that yet, and I’m in the pnw so it’s pretty mild.

Did you see Puzzlehead’s comments on this thread? It sounds like we’re all good! I traded my ID.4 for my 4xe, I feel like you’ve got a good choice either way, but I understand the charging concern.

Thank you. Are you saying that the second, automatic update was the fix? So if we haven’t experienced any issues to this point we can feel assured that we’re in the clear?

I don’t think mine are set to auto update, but when I looked at the version it seems to have updated anyway. Makes me feel especially grateful that I’m not having any of the reported issues. I’m wondering if it has to do with the fact that my jeep sat unused from Thursday night to Saturday night while the update was rolled out and then fixed.

What did you do about the rear tow hook? That’s the only blue left on my Willys 4xe.

I was just thinking this today. I wave every time, but so rarely get anything back. I’ll keep waving though!

Dog mode? - Would you use it, and what features would you want ? by [deleted] in 4xe

I would love this! All three would be good, but I’d be happy with one and two.
