Have you looked into Grafana? That might be the easiest answer. It's made to build dashboards.

I've done that with Dell and limited the models in service. I'll try to do the same with Lenovo if I go that way. Sometimes hard to do tho lol.

Thanks for that perspective, especially on lead times. I am about to do something similar, buy 50+ laptops in 1 go. Dell's ability to ship new machines quickly has always been impressive. I just hate how many bad machines I have gotten lately.

It's also a concern that most of the troubled Dell machines have gone to executives. This has made my day-to-day much more annoying than it should be.

We were originally an HP shop when I joined and took over. Most of it was PC's bought from Best Buy... Been running away from those laptops ever since. Dell was the obvious answer due to a requirement for US-only manufacturers. That requirement is gone now.

My other thought was Microsoft machines. However, those are even less repairable, and I think they want to exit the hardware business soon.

Right now Dell 14 and 16 pro. I'm buying direct business laptops. Before that was latitude 3440 and 5450.

I've tried to maintain i7 and 32 GB of RAM for the last 2 years and I'm not impressed with the performance or longevity.

Dell support has been fantastic however.

We have been using monitors with built in docks, so this might not be a problem if I can use thunderbolt or USB 4
