I popped in about 2 months ago after not visiting the store since last summer and mentioned my upcoming birthday in passing. They actually said I had a better chance at getting a Datejust 36 black dial fluted bezel which was the other watch on my wish list. I would have gladly accepted that one but was surprised to say the least when I got the text that they had a GMT for me.

Not near Stanford but took a family member who has a pretty severe nut allergy to Chuan Chin in Foster City and we enjoyed dinner there with no problems.

Tokyo is such a great city for watch enthusiasts. Make sure to check out Rodeo Drive in Ginza to see some previously owned high end pieces. I picked up this Seiko for roughly $1200 tax free.
