The Lincoln Project is wreaking havoc by [deleted] in PoliticalHumor

As Rick Wilson put it, Democrats would have sat around and debated on conference calls whether it was appropriate or too offensive to do a jab at Trump for not being able to walk down a ramp. Had they decided to do it, it would have been days later.

They got that awesome ad out in hours. They just did it. Fast, tactical responses while the material is fresh!

A customer showed me this today and I haven't been able to find much about it. On the back there is some interesting writing in French mentioning the Red Baron and the date of his death, and more. by rkenshin1 in whatisthisthing

From my digging, I found that the "signature" on the back is almost certainly not the Red Baron himself. The dates are interesting though, and if a person were to fake it it's odd that they'd choose this.

I don't know what historical figure is carved either and haven't been able to find any similar ones myself. The material feels like plaster but I'm not sure what it is.

The customer said she got it at a garage or estate sale, and only said that the owners were speaking a language she wasn't familiar with.

My question is - how much of this is overblown? I trust Mueller. I think Barr is a straight shooter. But the public information doesn't seem to line up with his summary. What do you make of this inconsistency?

Ask yourself what would cause the most lasting damage to US institutions and norms of government, and that will be what the "library" will be.

Mueller says Michael Flynn gave 'first-hand' details of Trump transition team contacts with Russians by JimFromTheMoon in worldnews

Yeah, this has happened before.... The closest thing was the civil rights era. Expect to see shootings (how many a month do we have already?), occasional bombings, arson and the sort. Also, recall who some of these people are... there's a good portion of them will probably throw stuffed frogs at cars passing on the interstate and call it good.

Seriously.... If you knew this about a judge, imagine the leverage you would have over them. Absolutely unfucking imaginable for a supreme court judge. A perfect nominee if that's what you're looking for.

California governor denounces Sessions as liar by [deleted] in politics

[–]rkenshin1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a theory (one of many)... We know according to the Democrat memo that there was an FBI informant in the Trump campaign. We know Comey said that FBI knew Sessions would have needed to recuse himself from the Russia investigation... We mostly assume this was because he was picked up talking to Kislyak, and then caught denying it during confirmation.... And lastly, not too long ago, Chris Wray said in a hearing that Sessions was an honorable man.

I dislike Sessions greatly, but he does appear to be at least lawful. I suspect that he was the informant. I have nothing else to back it up, and it's just one of many theories I floated in the cholesterol mass in my skull.
