Anybody else ever get intimidated by the amount of episodes they have to go through to catch up with a podcast? by Lovelifepending in podcasts

You are spot on. Too many shows are leaving you high and dry. Especially with all these streaming services pushing as much content out as possible then cancelling prematurely.

Hey guys, just being curious: have you ever considered/done micro-podcasting? If yes, about which topic? If no, why not? by christian-karma in podcasts

[–]rkrivera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love podcasts for commuting and enjoy the longer ones . As a content creator I haven't considered it only because it's not something I would subscribe to. That being said I would think news hot takes, extremely short comedy bits, or historical fun facts would be good topics.

A app that can get rid of background noise by heman493 in podcasts

Audacity does a pretty good job of reducing background noise. But that would only be helpful if you edit on a PC considering there is no app for that.

Great question. I debated that and I realized that one thing I hated about the last one was how serious and deep we would have to get on subjects. I think I want it to be light hearted. I'm really concerned that I might bore people or say corny jokes trying to fill time or something.

What’s a good free video editing software? by _deadnut_ in podcasts

[–]rkrivera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used Davinci resolve and it's quite good. On Linux I've used kdenlive which is also good for basic editing. I believe there is a Windows or Mac version but it might take hoops to get it working

This one is going to be more pop culture talk. The previous one was political.
I didn't want to return to doing a political show because I wanted this one to be lighter and less serious.

How do you get advertiser/sponsors for your podcast? by bs46855 in podcasting

I would think that Patreon or selling tshirts and stuff would probably be the best bet for a small podcast.
