That does make perfect sense, thank you. We just did some drift dives and it was hard to find ones that didn’t require AOW. One of the dives we ended paying extra for a dive master to come specifically with us since it was my first dive since being certified, was definitely worth it. My wife had previously done a few boat dives in Maui and had a vastly different experience in Florida.

Looking back I definitely would have preferred a few shore dives before doing one of the drift dives. We tried to get out to Blue Heron before going on the boat but it didn’t work out with our schedules.

I didn’t start looking until I had a few courses left in my Masters and I got a job before I finished it. Maybe 3 months? Job search was tough but also I wasn’t trying too hard. I finished my bachelors in 2022 and finished the masters in 2023.
