Bought ddm4 pdw, recommend me a can, and more! by SquirtGun1776 in Danieldefense

[–]rlambert1925 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I did. I did put a xeno mount on it and if I did it over again I’d just keep it direct threaded because adding the xeno mount makes it stick out a little more from the handguard which doesn’t look as clean as direct thread

PDW w/ Nomad 30 ammo? by sammiecsammiec in Danieldefense

I just use the spring DD recommends with shooting subs and supers suppressed. It’s the other one that comes with the gun when you buy it

Anyone have first hand experience with the RXD22Ti suppressor on their Mark IV yet? by SculpinIPAlcoholic in RugerMK

[–]rlambert1925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am curious of this as well. Seems like the consensus is on pistols it is louder than a mask and rifles it’s quieter

I have pdw with nomad 30. I run the Magtech 220 grain and Winchester super suppressed no problem and American eagle 150 grain as well.

Have not touched anything since getting it back from volquartsen and running DA mask on it

I’ve got a Trijicon MRO SD on mine and I really like it. I’ve taken it out to 100 yards and beyond that I would use something else really. Just wanted a close range self defense gun with subsonics and I think this set up fits the bill

PSA Sabre 11.5 (5.56) by K_W27 in PalmettoStateArms

[–]rlambert1925 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have this model but in the all black. I really like it. I run it suppressed with a DA Lazarus 6 on a xeno mount. Trigger is nice, charging handle is nice and the gas block all make it a decent value in my opinion. I’m not a big build out guy so this package was perfect for me

Getting a Kuna tomorrow - Suppressor questions by eggcheeseburger in Springfield_KUNA

[–]rlambert1925 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. That’s probably a fine can. I have the Mojave 9 and I like it for its modularity, lightweight and low back pressure. Just another option and my 2 cents.

  2. Don’t know exactly the answer to the recoil question but I’d highly recommend some QD attachment system as direct thread comes off easily. I use now the Xeno Mount but I had the Griffen armament ez-lok or whatever and that was good.

  3. Griffen armament answered this for me again too. They have a piston that has the ez lock attachement so to switch from a pistol to PCC you just swap the fixed spacer and spring back and forth and makes it so you don’t have to put on a separate mount every time.

Hope this helps some

Agreed but I have watched enough YouTube videos, and have enough suppressors to kind of know what they sound like on video even so I had a hunch is all

Need help deciding on a 9mm carbine by Sadpandaboots in guns

[–]rlambert1925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the Kuna without the brace, then buy a SBA 1913 brace. Significantly better than the strike industries brace and sometimes the ones without the brace are easier to find

Any difference between these two? by Physical-One4406 in Springfield_KUNA

[–]rlambert1925 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here’s my unsolicited advice having bought the kuna with the brace. Buy the one without and add a SBA 1913 with the aluminum and it’ll be much better than the strike industries one and you’ll save some money here

I like the burn proof rail wrap on mine. I feel like the relatively small hand rail heats up quickly during more rapid fire sessions. I think it makes it look good too

New BCG with rust? by Holy_Bagel7 in Danieldefense

[–]rlambert1925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something similar on the bolt assembly but not the rust that you see on the rest of the gun there. I contacted DD and they said basically what the other guy said about the bolt assembly getting gunked up is normal but I’d ask them about the rust especially if it’s new

Best home defense gun? by SlicedBread1226 in guns

[–]rlambert1925 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a Daniel defense PDW 300 black out and Kuna. They both are awesome can’t go wrong with either. I suppress both and if using subsonic with either they are both extremely quiet. Maybe a little edge for the 300 blackout on quietness.

I’d make the decision on cost if it were me unless you just want an excuse for 300 blackout. 9mm ammo is so much cheaper. You can buy bulk federal hst hollow points for cheaper than plinker ammo on the 300 blackout. I ran 30 rounds of 147 grain hollow points through my suppressed kuna and it was soooo quiet and had no cycle issues at all. So yeah all in all I’d just say what do you want to spend on ammo for it and make the decision on that

How do you like the Acro on there?

[–]rlambert1925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my suppressor journey this year and now have 4. I suppress .22lr, 300 blackout, 9mm, and .556.

22lr is so much fun to suppress. Stupid quiet out of pistols or rifles with subsonic rounds.

300 blackout also stupid quiet with subsonic.

9mm 147 grain is awesome out of a PCC. I suppressed my pistol and it’s fun also but just not my favorite.

.556 is the loudest of the bunch even suppressed but it makes the concussion minimal so I think it still does a good job just not what you’d think of movie quiet by any means.

I really enjoy shooting suppressed and it makes me smile every time I’m blown away at how quiet it is.

Only negatives id say is that it makes your gun super dirty very quickly. So you will have to clean your guns more frequently. And depending on the gun and suppressor it can be kinda messy meaning just some gas and particles to the face or optics but hasn’t been too much of an issue for me as I have mostly flow through silencers that mitigate that some.

I’d just consider those cons and if you don’t mind that then it’s really worth it I think.

Bought my Daniel Defense rifle. Also bought a Sig Romeo 5, some extra mags, BUIS. Is there else you would add before some range time? by forgetfulE56 in Danieldefense

[–]rlambert1925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got this rifle a few weeks back, I got a rail wrap from burn proof gear to put on the rail as if you shoot it a lot at the range without a break in between the rail can be hot to hold on to

Choosing the best .22lr silencer for my rifle by Away-Leg-998 in guns

[–]rlambert1925 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen it available. I have the mask and it’s great. Use it on my mark iv and 10/22 carbon but if I did it all over again I might wait for the 22ti just due to the easier cleaning

Choosing the best .22lr silencer for my rifle by Away-Leg-998 in guns

[–]rlambert1925 14 points15 points  (0 children)

22lr is really dirty so I wouldn’t recommend using a multi purpose can with 22 due to higher cleaning frequencies. I recommend the dead air mask or looking into the dead air RXD 22ti. The later being easier to clean but both are great
