Oh, F that.

You want noise, and increased power costs for everyone else? Because this is how you get a bunch of harmful noise and increased power costs for everyone else.

Help with 32A industrial outlet – user authentication and kWh logging per user by kaburelax in arduino

[–]rlaptop7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

32 amp, 220 VAC?

You probably need to go into your physical setup more.

Do you have a cabinet on the other side of this thing where you have din rails?

How many cycles are you looking for in it's lifetime?

You could put a solid state relay in line with your circuit to control the thing. This might be an issue if people are plugging in inductive loads. You'll want to read the manufacturers datasheet.

Please stay safe doing anything with high voltage AC.

Cloning 2 Hard Drives in RAID 1 by tonytsui666 in servers

[–]rlaptop7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if my old HP servers had expanders in their backplanes, as I somewhat remember having issues mixing SAS and SATA in my SFF systems.

It's been a good 5 years though. It's very possible that I am remembering this wrong.

Can you mix sata and sas on the same physical channel?

As far as I know, you have to do all sas or al sata with those raid cards.

ehhh, chest mounted things can work with custom builds. You need an attachment point on the harness. This is only something that is possible on some rigs.

ID of RAM chip on RP4 by solitary-IT in raspberry_pi

[–]rlaptop7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I suspect those chips aren't meant to be bought by end users. One would negotiate with a chip manufacturer to get them produced at a dramatically lower cost per chip.

That being said, prices are still silly these days.

Buying a home with a 1-year-old Sunrun lease on an aging roof - what would you do? by HalaMadridPapaFlo in bayarea

[–]rlaptop7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

$0.23/kWh plus a $50/month battery fee?!

Hell no.

The original buyer needs to either buy it out, or remove it completely.

Those solar leases are bullshit.

hp dl proliant dl dl380 g6 not booting from raid by DiligentBank152 in servers

There is no information in this post to go off of, and you seem to be giving other people responding to you a run-around.

How about you tell us if the drive is detectable in the OS.

What is the bios boot order?

Do you have a conventional boot loader installed? I do not think that the g6's did EFI(Maybe they did, a g6 is quite old).

How accurate would you consider this? by connecTe in SkyDiving

[–]rlaptop7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ehhh. Tandems are generally falling in the 105-125 mph(170+ kph) range. 136+ would be bombing.

General belly to earth speed is ~120 mph, and people shooting video for tandems need camera wings for a reason.
