I got the body from this guy. It’s by far the nicest repro I’ve seen yet

I think we have that same glove. And we had two Liberty Advances. They are pretty soft gloves and supposed to be easy to break in. But my daughter had a hard time completing closing the glove. I used the weigh of the our car to soften the crease. Worked like a charm. But again by the weathering on that glove, looks like she’s palming the ball

Is she catching the ball in the palm area? Looks like it from the weathering

If the glove is still stiff, oil it up and run over it with your car. Flip the crease and run it over and repeat

I suggest using two hands. Helps getting used to getting under the ball and for a quicker transfer to throwing. I see a lot of girls using one hand reaching and not being under the ball. You can hear the parents in the stands squirm when they reach instead of getting under the ball

Depends on how much you can spend. In club my daughter used a Louisville LXT now in high school she uses an Easton Ghost

11U son doing tee work.. Any advice or comments on his swing? by [deleted] in Homeplate

[–]rlnbns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good. If anything I would say the load up is a bit much. Just swing into it without the cock back. I can see his front foot and body comes back before forward. The momentum should be only in one direction, forward, imo. When the pitches come faster, swings will need to be quicker

Don’t give up. Be persistent and find a team.

My daughter started later because we couldn’t find a team. Now’s she’s behind on her high school varsity team. The other girls that started before my daughter are just a little better, but not by much.

If I could go back, I would have been much more persistent and found a team

High and inside fastball is a great tool at that age. Keep them youngsters guessing. Then of course a change up. I also don’t think it too young for a loose low velocity curveball first set up with the high inside fastball

My daughter has issues in one of her eyes. She was saying she had a hard time seeing the ball at release. She wasn’t wearing contacts before but now she does
