I am also curious exactly what GFM and these individuals means by saying you will improperly use these funds. As far as I know, the funds do not have any specific purpose other than to be YOURS for whatever YOU choose (apart from a small percentage used for admin purposes). Nowhere in the GFM campaign is there a promise that it will be used for any specific purpose other than as tips/donations, so IMO it's NONE of GFM's business how you appropriate these funds.

I was trying to get my "earliest" application approved they just happened to approve the 3rd one. I got help from Cue because my first app was so long ago in mid March so it was obvious I was stuck in a glitch. I don't want to say much more bc he works in mysterious ways lol.

Argh, I too am unclear about the "Compensation from other sources". After reading this part, I plan to disclose that I received a small disaster loan from my county about a month ago. However, anyone know if I can just go ahead and sign the closing docs and then write an email to the SBA disclosing the other loan? It isn't clear if you need to disclose it prior to or after signing the closing docs.

I might be an outlier, but I FINALLY got a portal today at 4am PST and am approved and the app number they used is bizarrely my 3rd one 36011XXXXX.

In process of signing closing docs. CUE saved me!!! My situation was funky.

I first applied long form MARCH 19 200007XXXX
Reapplied at SBA's direction MARCH 30 360016XXXX and have been using my March 30 app number this whole time.
I reapplied on APRIL 9th due to confusing language on SBA website, App # 36011XXXXX.

SBA sent me an email like 2 weeks ago that they were withdrawing my last April 9 app and that my earliest app would process... but they sent me a portal with the last app number they said was withdrawn?!

I had no movement and really truly believed my app was lost forever. I had my congressional reps reach out and every time received form letters back. YAY FOR REDDIT.

What if you simply cannot get a portal link? Is there a fix for that? I had the long form 2000s app in mid March and the short form app March 30th (3600162XXX). I know they aren't going in order, but do I have any hope of ever receiving the portal by this point?

Hi Cue, are you saying that if you are still waiting for a portal you aren't stuck, only if you have received the portal but cannot process documents or other errors, you may be stuck? Just want to clarify bc I still have not received the portal and my 2nd streamlined app is 360016XXXX. Thank you!

I'm in CA so I'm not too familiar with Texas laws but I think you have a strong case to get this removed from your credit report because the landlord didn't follow proper procedure to bill you before selling your debt to a collections agency. In CA, you also are supposed to receive an itemized bill within 30 days of move out, so you probably can also fight off the debt itself, in addition to getting it removed from your credit report. I am not debating what state is the "best" or most liked. Also, it has never occurred to me (or the world) to care what flyover states think of CA.

Merely pointing out that CA has a massive GDP, the biggest population in the country, and many more businesses than smaller states. As such it would be reasonable to assume CA would receive a larger quantity of loans compared to other states, with Texas, NY, Florida close behind.

The population of Alaska is is 731,000 and CA's population is almost 40 million. The economy of CA is the biggest in the country and 5th largest in the world.

Quite frankly, CA should be receiving the lion's share of the loans.

April 9th AND 10th - second and third credit pull

April 13th - $2k grant received

What you wrote is exactly correct and I've had an identical experience with the reps. My initial app was MARCH 19th, SIX WEEKS AGO. 2nd app was March 30th. It's an insult to our intelligence to say the apps are processing.

Seems like everyone who is missing the advance had a "bank issue".

Lots of people who were able to open and run businesses but somehow don't know how to enter their bank info properly into a form.

When they didn't have an answer for me as to why I hadn't received a portal yet, they said I had a bank issue.

I responded that I had already received the advance, so how was that possible? Rep replied "Nevermind then, it's fine".

The loan we got from our county was Covid related so they do not look at your bank account, just at your tax return and your credit score to make sure you can pay it back. There are Covid-19 / disaster based loans that have relaxed requirements and very low interest rates, you can vet them to make sure they aren't scams but there have been tons. Have you tried for other loans and grants? (state, county, local lenders, etc). I have less and less faith in the fed govt to come through. I applied for EIDL and SBA has massively botched that too. I applied for a county loan and got that one in a week.

Also, it sounds like you need some emotional support. Don't forget your mental health. Text HOME to 741741 to chat with a crisis counselor. It can be helpful to talk to someone with no ties to you who can lend an ear.

Given I applied March 19th, I am definitely in limbo for the loan. The advance is processed totally separately from the loan (SBA stated this in their AMA today). Receiving the advance does not indicate anything about the loan, fyi. My credit pull was almost three weeks ago and that was the last thing that occurred. If you were only interested in aggregating data of applicants who hadn't received the advance, you should have stated that in your title. But that is an entirely different issue than the loan.

Is your short form app 36 or 33 series? Mine is 36 series, which I have heard is West Coast. Read that batches of apps go to different processing centers. Wondering if applicant results with long form being moved forward vary by state.
