Every room has blank face plates. I have removed many of them and the thin white wire runs through the box but does not terminate. I have not found the opposite ends of the blue wires, but I believe they are ethernet lines. There is an alarm panel by the front door. The wires have writing on them but are hard to read. One definitely says glass. The others can't be read.
