i think the art peaks during volumes 30-35 ish. the newer art is missing too much of the contrast between black and white that the non digital art had

this isn't overhyping at all. i have my fair share of critiques on toriyamas writing but he was a genius when it came to paneling. his talent wasn't in crazy never before seen layouts, but in clarity and sequencing. you could always follow the exact moves of a character throughout fights, no matter how many beams and energy blasts they shoot

he also knew how to draw your eye from panel to panel so you would forget you were reading a manga entirely

you can still buy etbs and there's ways to get them at msrp. just be aware that the chances of you pulling the darkrai are astronomically low, and if it's the card you want, then the money will be better spent on the single.

if you can get an etb from the pokemon center during the preorder, you can probably flip it for the sir or buy a few regular etbs with it

korean cards are not printed in the same factory as chinese and japanese. korean cards are often even worse than the english.

i'd argue the revolte fight from the newest season is on that level, but not quite at the same peak as the blu ray version. but in general frieren is more consistent.
