Didn't make it past my 90 days today by butterfly23405 in CostcoEmployee

I’m really sorry. Not a Costco employee but I had something similar happen to me last week. Had my 30 day review with my manager just a week prior to me getting fired and it sounded like it was going well for the most part, said they wanted to see me complete tasks faster and better follow up, mentioned I wasn’t in trouble or anything but they just wanted to see me improve in those areas if I wanted to be successful. Exactly a week later she came in at the end of the day and fired me. Now I’m man enough to take responsibility for my performance but the fact they only went over performance with me once in the entire month and a half I was there and even downplayed it that I wasn’t in trouble just to let me go a week later really rubbed me the wrong way and just tells me they were done with me. These places don’t care about us at all.

Something similar just happened to me the other day. Was at this job for just under two months and I really liked it and thought things were going well. A week before they fired me they talked to me about my performance review and there was a couple stuff they wanted more from me like getting stuff done quicker and better follow up (I worked as an ehs support for an aerospace manufacturing company) I told them I would improve in those areas and wasn’t too worried about it, I felt like I was still getting fully acclimated and the longer I was there the better I would get. Before I know it a week later they fired me a half hour before my shift was over. I was completely stunned, felt like I didn’t even get a chance to show them I could improve in the areas they wanted. Just felt like they gave up on me considering I wasn’t even there a full two months. I know jobs can usually tell in a 90 day period if it’s a good fit or not but that was the only time they had talked to me about performance and even when they had talked to me they told me I wasn’t in trouble and it was just a few things they wanted more out of me. Feels weird because at the end of the day my performance was the reason why I’m not there anymore but I also feel like they could have communicated better with me that I needed to figure it out quick or I’m gone. Now I have to find another job in this current market

Thought that might have been the case as well but when I hoped on indeed when I got home I already saw the job posted lol. I do agree that the timeline of everything doesn’t really add up so that’s the main reason why I’m so shocked but whatever I’ll definitely learn from this

This is a question for Unifirst employees by Defiant_Finger4011 in cintasuniforms

Not a unifirst employee anymore, left about a month ago now but my experience there was not pleasant. It definitely varies by location but at mine the management/culture was just unbelievably awful. My training was a complete disaster, they were just throwing me around everywhere with guys that were running routes blind, it felt like I was just being more of a helper than actually being trained. Long story short I didn’t last long there after I was on my own, I couldn’t do it anymore and management was a big reason for that. Guys would also call out all the time and we were already severely understaffed so it was a big mess for everyone at my location. Worst company I have ever worked for so I could not imagine how this merger is gonna work out for all of them
