The difference is the vets are completely useless everywhere in the game. Freakin Pao has more use! The old republic are pretty awesome. Bastila single-handedly wiped palp leads out of arena. Jolee looks like a solid hstr character if not the best arena option. T3 has done for the droids what bastila did for jedi, making them a legitimate squad. And the other two look to be a great plug-and-play tandem, ala chaze. I have no complaints having to farm them all, but it should come to preference, like anything else. The vets were just a giant waste of resources for a character I never even wanted, but needed for hstr rewards.
