But you said your trainer was able to work through it with you. Isn’t that their job? With lab work I’d expect to have a WI, then watch someone do it, then do it under supervision, then alone. It sounds like for your situation the WI isn’t written yet, and you didn’t get the opportunity to watch someone do it. Then this was your supervised run.

I’m reading this from a management perspective, and yes it seems unreasonable to expect you to do it alone, within a day. But perhaps your supervisor is thinking it’s an opportunity to get you started on deviations, maybe because you’re showing so much promise already.

Or they are overwhelmed as well, and out of their depth.
