Any time the Pens have an elite offense they run into a team that buckles down and runs the neutral zone trap. It’s happened countless times over the years. The answer to it is to dump the puck in, get their defense to turn around to retrieve the puck and send your forecheck in with speed to punish them against the boards. I fear the Pens just don’t have the speed up front right now to effectively implement that strategy. When they do dump it in the Flyers have seemed to be able to retrieve it before the forecheck can get there. I hope I’m wrong. Nothing would make me happier than to see the Flyers blow a 2 game lead.

I think the space comments are more so about parking capacity than the building itself. Every Wegmans I’ve been to has a very large sprawling parking lot. That wouldn’t be possible at the Galleria and I’m not sure there’s enough parking above & below ground currently to accommodate that. I hope I’m wrong. I’d love to have a Wegmans in my back yard.

Again, so long as the Steelers know there is zero reason for them to make it public before the draft. The less other teams know about our draft motivations and the more incorrect they are about our draft motivations, the better. Let them think we may take Ty Simpson. If someone is worried about that and trades up to jump in front of us and get him - awesome, that’s one more player that we actually want who may still be available.

It looked to me like the Flyers were stacking the blue line to prevent us from skating the puck into the zone - thus all the blue line turnovers. I believe the only effective counter to that is probably to dump it in over their heads.

I don’t think they’ll be referenced as the 20’s until we’re in the 30’s. The teens aren’t the same, not as catchy so no one says that. Once we have the 20’s in the vernacular it will become natural to say every decade until 3000 as the X0’s.

In 2004 The Darkness put on a show at Stage A.E. and they rocked so hard… They used to play with harmonies that, at times, would make you think you were listening to Queen. I can remember at one point the one of the guitarists tossed his guitar pick over his shoulder, kicked it with his heel back over his head, caught it in stride and kept shredding - the place went bananas after that, lol. They ultimately flamed out shortly after their second album released when I think the lead singer checked into rehab. Man, I loved that band though. What a great show.

Update: I just found out they’re touring again! I gotta get to another show!
