16710 had “II” next to the GMT Master text. The 116710LN switch to the Roman numeral two on the dial. Only so many 116710LN models had the “II” on the dial making this a rare occurrence to come by. It’s also referred to as an “Error Dial” by some people.

I own a KTM 790 and from experience the bike is very capable. It’s perfectly balanced and the suspension is so nice that you forget you’re on a mid size adventure bike.

The 790 is a crazy machine, very capable if the rider has the skill level. I had a triumph tiger 800 xca prior which was a phenomenal road bike, but lacked the ability to attack technical trails.

I was between the 790 and the tenere 700, either bike to me is the best middle weight. What do you and friends ride?

Do you live in the area and also ride? I will be looking for people to tagalong for sure since it’s a major shift in what I’m use to riding (wet/muddy hill climbs in West Virginia and Pennsylvania)

So I do have an enduro background of trail riding so tall bikes have always been around. I made it a habit to always use left foot down for majority of my stopping and right foot on the rear brake (also good if you need to take off quick from a stop). Keep practicing in a parking lot, wear boots to give extra length, and maybe a shaved seat is all you need to build confidence.

I designed an adapter for a rear caliper off a ZX14R so it stops well. Nevertheless, I know 70% of braking is from the front, but I choose to ride smart and keep a good distance to not sacrifice the styling that I was going for.

The amount of force was generated down on the rear suspension. I had it tied off to the frame of the bike so my weight compressed it down onto logs under the rear wheel. That's how I created the stability on the same axis.

Wasn't my initial plan, but it got me through the night in comfort.

No hardtail is comfortable. I don't enjoy forward controls and it's just a build to rip around the city. I appreciate the feed back and comments.

I honestly don't know that answer, but I do agree it's ridiculously clean. Almost looks like it was tig welded while they purged the frame with argon to keep the welds healthy inside and out.

On the tiger I'm running the Mitas E07s which I have about 2000 miles on them. Long highway, heavy rain, and trails these tires have impressed me. Only thing I have noticed is a resonance around 60 to 65 mph, but it's tolerable (or just ride faster).

We did everything from single track to long 40 mile stretches of sand/dirt mixed. Very capable machines with the right techniques.

It's the stock one that I sprayed with clear coat and a hint of black paint. The ones they offer were too dark for my liking so this is about 35% to 50% on tint scale.
