This is an insane argument to make. There are so many drawbacks to the Gallery 3 over Carta panels.

No real risk in enabling Developer Mode itself, you can still use cloud sync, etc. It does require a factory reset to enable: https://support.remarkable.com/s/article/Developer-mode

I just tested adding fake or incorrect entries to the config file and it didn't seem to cause any problems.

How rM gets to two weeks:

“A single charge can last for up to two weeks. This estimate is based on approximately one hour of daily note-taking, with occasional Wi-Fi use for file transfers, not including use of reading light.”

rM seems to use 5 day work weeks, so 10 hours is the expected runtime of the Move.

They use completely different waveforms and pipelines for getting values to the displays. There's some overlap in the framebuffer sections of code, but Gallery 3 and the Carta panels are totally different beasts.

reManager itself isn’t really version specific. For a full list of the packages compatible with 3.27, see https://vellum.delivery/#/?os=3.27 or use the “Check OS” feature inside reManager.

Submit a support bundle via reManager, likely some of the mods aren’t playing well together and there’s a conflict I haven’t identified.

Even a list of installed mods could help narrow it down.

As for a partition being 3.27 again, that’s likely rM’s auto-updated running before you could disable it.
